  • Verifiably bright!
Color: navy blue
I had a trusted 500 lumen flashlight for years but it finally had intermittent switch problems. I tried and returned a few others before trying this product. Compared to two 500 lumen lights, this is easily twice as bright, so I'd say at least 1000 lumens at full setting. It is small, well built, and comes with rechargeable and standard batteries (as backup). Charging is in the flashlight so no need to remove battery as with some other lights. A 3-swcone press of the button shuts unit off without having to cycle through modes, and then when turned back on you are in the same mode. Four power level LEDs lets you know when it needs charging. Haven't used long enough to judge battery. I used it the other day for about 20 minutes on full power and the entire device does get quite warm, but not hot enough to be dangerous. Finally have a solid replacement for my old trusty C-cell light. ... show more

  • Suntact Flashlight with XHP70.2 LED
Color: navy blue
This flashlight is bright that's for sure, but I can't understand why the seller or manufacturer would want to exaggerate the lumen rating at 950000Lm or even 200000Lm as there is no way it could be that high. These lights use the XHP70.2 LED module which has a maximum rating of around 2000Lm at nominal current and if the LED is significantly overdriven it could do around 4000Lm. That said, it's still one of the brightest flashlights I have now, second only to my older 7000Lm (true lumen rating) and not by a lot, and the color is higher temperature so it might actually be better than the older one. The price was significantly lower too, around one-third of the cost of the 7000Lm light. This light also has a charge indicator made up of four small blue LED's that light up to show the percentage charge. When all four are lit that means it is 100 percent charged. I tested it out this morning before dawn and I can see the other reviews here are all true, it does literally light up the whole back yard. You could easily see a small animal like a skunk or squirrel maybe even a mouse at 50 feet, and that's pretty good, and that's if not focused. If it is focused, it's even brighter, much brighter, which makes this light one of the best lights I have now. The switch seems pretty durable also, and there is a USB charging port on the side so you can charge the Li-ion cell inside (if you use that option) and it's a 26650 size cell which is pretty good for a flashlight. My 7000Lm light uses four 18650 cells which are smaller. I have to recommend using this option because using three AAA batteries are going to run down pretty fast with the light on the highest setting. The current draw could be 5 amps or more, and AAA cells do not last that long at that kind of current level. I haven't measured the current yet, but if I get to do that I will update here. If you are worried about running down the 26650 cell also, you can either pick up a couple more on Amazon or get battery sleeves (also on Amazon) that fit inside and allow the use of regular 18650 Li-ion cells. Those will run down faster but still an interesting option. The other feature is that in addition to the charging port, which is type C, it also has a type A for using as an output to charge a phone or other small device. That's an interesting feature too. So overall I have to give this at least 5 stars and highly recommend it. Because it's such a good flashlight I have to wonder why they exaggerated the lumen rating. It's just fine with the maximum rating of the LED which is 2000 to 4000 lumens depending on the current level. I am not sure anyone would even want a light with more light flux than that in a flashlight. ... show more

  • As advertised +
Color: navy blue
Their is a review speaking to how you have to click through a bunch of modes to turn it off but actually, if you just hold the power button for a few seconds it turns off without having to go through the different modes.. I've owned a few similar flashlights.. it does heat up more than most, the battery life is a little shorter than others I have had, it takes a pretty long time to fully charge up and I like having the option to use green or red light that some other models offer. All that said, it is a great light for the price. It's the first one I've received that has a holder you can attach to your belt which is handy and it definitely fully lights up and provides full visibility for an area about 40 feet wide for 40-50 yards in the widest setting and can spot things further than I can actually see with any clarity in the most narrow setting, so all around, very solid for the $. ... show more

  • Nice little flashlight
Color: navy blue
There is no certification required to verify Lumen output of a flashlight, so many outfits make these wild claims. I knew there was no way this flashlight puts out almost 1 million lumens, but the price was right so I got one. All they really do is put a convex lens on it which magnifies the beam, nothing wrong with that. Then they throw in a little plastic case with egg crate foam, 3 AAA batteries and an adapter, a lanyard, a short charge cable, nylon belt case, and one of those little keychain push button flashlights. I would say if you need a small occasional flashlight for the car or a trip, this would be great. If you want a real, quality, reliable, long lasting flashlight, I suggest you apply your money elsewhere. ... show more

  • I absolutely love this device
Color: navy blue
I've used mine almost every day for several years now. My most recent purchase was the second as a gift for my mother who says she doesn't know how she lived without it going outside at night. I'm still on the original rechargeable battery and charged it hundreds of times. I've dropped it on concrete floors blacktop driveways hard enough i expected it to be broken. Ive generally beat the crap out of it. Still holds a full several hour charge and functions like new. I've never put a single battery in it besides the original rechargeable it came with. Only part that failed was the rubber plug that covers the charge ports leaving them exposed to elements. The rubber plug failed very quickly but hasn't affected the functionality one bit. I could cover the ports with tape but don't feel the need to. I'm buying my 3rd right now. For me it's been a fantastic product. I highly recommend this flashlight. Also the strobe feature is extremely bright and will blind any human instantly for self defense purposes or to be seen from long distances. Generally awesome ... show more
