The TL-Racker is an all-in-one integrated shotgun forend light. It features a sleek design that eliminates the need for remote cords so it reduces snag hazards. Ideal for shotgun breaching, close quarter operations or elevating your home defense options. The lightweight, all-in-one TL-Racker shotgun forend tactical light features the latest in high power LED technology, providing 1,000 lumens and 1.5 hours of continuous runtime. The TLRacker® is designed to easily replace the original factory forend of a 12 gauge Remington 870 model. Unscrew the action slide nut to replace the forend. O-ring and gasket.

    • Easy install, no issues so far
Replaced an aftermarket forend that had replaced the stock forend of an 870 tactical. If you're reading reviews on this, you know how to install it. An issue I've encountered is the front sling mount im currently using obscures the light a little bit, but otherwise it works very well to about 50yds or so. It can get you enough light to get you a sight picture for the target. And this is purely from my LE use perspective. The grip only needs a finger to activate the light. I unscrew the battery nut for car carry just in case I hit a bump and something activates the light. Just a couple turns make that happen, but you can use a flathead to fully secure the batteries. If you have a mount in your squad car, that works. Otherwise if it's in a bag/case and bouncing around I'm the trunk- maybe unscrew it so the light works when you deploy the gun. ... show more

I have been looking at this light for my 870 Defense shotgun for a while and finally caved in. I'm glad I did! Intuitive, bright, and robust. I am disappointed that I waited so long to add this tool to my collection. Oh, and the batteries are included.

Fit perfectly and the installation was a breeze with the not included castle nut tool. Battery was charged and the light is a perfect lumens for home/self defense. Highly recommend and will buy another one for my son who has the same shotgun. Perfect Christmas gift.

As much as people try and say it’ll fit a 20g it doesn’t when you rack it it wil skip over the forend nut, too bad though because it was a great light/forend

    • Great upgrade
I've had a Surefire light mounted on my Custom Rem 870 home defence rifle for 10 rears. Its old non-LED light system is embarrassingly out of date. The Streamlight system mounted easily, no tricks to it. If you want additional help, Youtube has videos available. The device appears sturdy, the pressure switch is better designed and placed than the Surefire, and the brightness of the light out-matches the old light as you would expect. Cost wise too, the Surefire product is way over-priced. I have replaced all my Surefire lights as they break, with the Streamlight products. They are just as bright if not brighter, batteries seem to last just as long (I replace them very year anyway), and durability wise they have lasted just as long if not longer. The light has only been mounted for about two months, and I have not shot or banged around this light yet, so I cannot make any judgement calls on this particular Streamlight device. I'll update this review if anything changes. With the cost of ammo, it will be a while before I ring it out to any significant extent. ... show more
