Description

The Low Profile TLR RM 2 features independently operating push button and remote pressure switches to provide the security of knowing you will always have light. Packaged as a kit offering everything you need to mount to your long gun. Multi-function, push button tactical tail switch or remote pressure switch. Quick press for constant on operation and press and hold for momentary operation. Double tap either switch within 1/4-second activates strobe. Securely fits a broad range of weapons using key kit provided. It meets applicable European Community Directives. Mounted on a 16" AR carbine Magpul HG mount. and 20" AKM RS Regulate Barrel mount. The lamp is too close to the barrel on either which causes a shadow to be cast as well as it illuminate the front sight post in a not so great way. Better on the AKM, so thats its home. This DOES NOT come with a pressure switch..ignore the picture they show of one... that is NOT included. The cap which covers the pressure switch connection port is weak and needs to be secured with a dot of superglue if its not going to be used. It will fall out at some point if you don't plan for this. The lamp bezel has a rotation cut-out which is nice to avoid accidental activation. I wish it took Streamlight 18650s, but it doesnt, a bit sad because those are a great power source. All in all a good light. ... show more

I mounted this on my AiRsoft that is a little bigger than 8 but not quite 10, and the barrel for the pellets is on the short side. It is mounted on top, so everything printed looks upside down. Not a big deal, still gets the job done. The amount of light is a good compromise between compact size and "just enough" light. Of course the amount of light needed is based on use case. If your main usage is outside, you likely want something brighter, but that means larger (at least in 2021). Indoors, it's up for debate how much is enough or too much. IMO this hits a sweet spot. I specifically wanted something that did not require the extra wired button that would be too cramped on a short rail. Mounted on top of the rail, my hand position is perfect for my middle finger to "flick" this on and off or to hold it on momentarily, without loosing grip. The more narrow buttons with the almost 90 degree bend at the end work great for this method. Nice that is has 2 button choices. I mounted this as far forward as possible to reduce shadowing, with my MBUS Pro behind this. It works out well enough for backup. I use a Holosun 510 for main sighting, with a small riser, and the lamp body can just barely be seen through it. Again, a small compromise that I believe to be negligible. ... show more

I like this and have it mounted to the magpul forend of a moss 500. Lights with a normal button on the back aren't as easy for me to activate without breaking my grip, and I didn't really want to use a remote as there is limited space on the forend. The light throw is ideal for HD situations as it is a wider beam. My only complaint is I would prefer if it mounted directly to an mlok rail instead of picatinny for a more flush profile. ... show more

- The light feels like quality. - 1000LM is super bright. - The button feels sturdy. - Its angle is comfortable for thumb or forefinger (depending on where you mount it). - The remote switch feels super sturdy. - Most impressive were the mounting options that come with the switch: rail clips, sticky tape, screws, and zip ties. I used the screws to fasten the switch to my KelTec RDB and it feels rock solid. - The short press for on/off, long press for momentary, is intuitive and idiot proof. - The bezel is thin and smooth, so it could be hard to affect the "safe off" function. But if you only twist that on/off when taking your weapon in/out of its case, you should not have to manipulate this function under stress. My only complaint is the rubber cap that covers the hole if you don't use the remote switch. The rubber cap falls off way too easy. If you mount the light on a long rail, a little ridge in the rubber cap SHOULD fit into the rail and hold the cap in place. But if you mount the light on a short raised rail, the cap will not be held in and you will DEFINITELY lose it. For this reason I am buying an Inforce WML for my rifle with a short rail. Need lock-tite on the mounting rail, FOR SURE. It sucks the couldn't use Allen screws, instead of a thumb screw, with a coin slot. You need to keep tightening the screw, as recoil will loosen it. Also, if you use the remote switch, the plug defeats the water proofing of the unit. The light itself is ok. Definitely over priced, for what you're getting. ... show more
