Mounted it on a Glock 19 for home defense. This model was recommended to me by a SOCOM firearms instructor (who also carries a Glock 19). It mounts securely, and has enough brightness (lumens) to work in dark places without over lighting (washing out) the area. That's especially important since I am also using a RMR. But what really works for me is the position of the On/Off switches. Left or right hand. Located at the back exactly where my support hand thumb is located. Press it once and it stays on. Press it again and it turns off. Or press and hold for on and release for off. Home defense guys recommend that you don't wander around your house clearing rooms leaving your flash light on. Just makes for an easier target and tracking your movement. On-Off-Move On-Off-Move. The SOCOM firearms instructor uses a more expensive military issued tactical light. But he says he would rather have a Streamlight TLR-7A. That recommendation was good enough for me. ... show more

This light is awesome. It's easy to install, it comes with batteries, the light is easy and accessible to turn on, and it is very bright for its size. I would definitely order another one for another pistol at some point.
