  • Excellent Product by STP
I had been using sea foam but a couple years ago I switched to STP for use in my 300k mile Camry and 2017 RAV 4. Love the red funnel thing and STP seems to do a better job on the fuel rails, injectors, fuel pump, etc.

  • Stunned!
I've been a car nut for over 40 years. I have tried just about every additive on the market in that time. Recently, I bought one of the reputed best fuel system cleaners for my Honda, LiquiMoly. It did a decent job. But., on a whim, I tried this. I always thought of STP as an additive of the past, the thick, clearish/bluish goop that quieted down old, tired engines in the 60's and 70's I had never heard of this particular one before. I have a vehicle that was misfiring just after startup. You could feel one or two cylinders weren't firing consistently until the vehicle warmed up. Then it was fine. Let me be clear I did find this locally, randomly, and bought it on impulse. Had it in the garage for a day or two. This morning, I thought I'd dump it in the gas tank and hope for the best. My spouse then drove the it to work and back, about 22 miles round trip. Later this evening, I used it for an errand. On startup, my eyes popped out of my head. The stumble was gone. Moreover, the engine was noticeably smoother. On driving, it accelerated better than any time in the past 5 years that we've owned this 12 year old vehicle. In fact, acceleration was so different, it took much less throttle to get up to speed. I was gobsmacked. Whatever is in there, it works. I gave it a quick smell test when putting it in the tank. It's not alcohol, for sure. There is a lot of alcohol in SeaFoam, for instance. I can state it's not just a usual conglomeration of solvents like in Gumout fuel injector cleaner. I use Lucas Oil all the time but it does not give dramatic results like this. So, whatever it is, I'm shocked. I hope the results keep on. If I can remember, I will update this review. ... show more
