First and foremost, THIS IS NOT A SAFE. The company writes this themselves on the product packaging. I bought this because I have a baby about to turn 1 who is getting VERY mobile. Night stands, drawers, and high dressers aren't safe places anymore, so a lockboxes like this gives me peace of mind for the guns that stay out of the safe. I bought the BOGO FULL SIZE PRO. I read other reviews that said this did not come with the second box or the extra keys to make 81 combinations, but I did not experience that. I got both boxes and each box came when 12 keys total (8 spares and 4 installed) to make up to 81 combinations. It works as designed and feels really sturdy for being plastic. Set up was super simple. Only con is that the part that secures the cable is the thinnest plastic on the box. Would have been nice to see a metal corner at that spot to distribute force if someone is trying to break it off of the cable. I use the smallest masterlock Python and it fits like a glove. It’s not designed to be a VAULT or HIGH-SECURITY SAFE, but rather a quick-access and portable security lock box. It's exactly what you need if you want to access your firearm quickly, without codes or keys. This StopBox Pro is sturdy and convenient when you're on the road. Very easy to set up. So for the price, it wasnt bad for getting 2 safety boxes which is great! Solid construction on the box, great mechanism for opening and closing, and a very sleek design. The only reason why im giving 4 stars is because the description of the product shows that it comes with a steel cable that i can lock up to a solid structure. No steel cable was included and it looks like the attachment for the steel cable is a specialized attachment as well. ... show more

I purchased the STOPBOX Pro with the BOGO free deal. The boxes are extremely well made, the lock mechanism is so easy to use and provides security for the guns in a package that is much quicker to get into than the bed side safe I was using.     • DANGEROUS: Parents Please Read.
I normally am hesitant to write a negative review because I know that whether something is useful or not is subjective and everyone has a different point of view. I had to share my experience with the StopBox and why I quickly decided it was not for me. First, I will give credit where it's due. The Box is pretty sturdy for what it's supposed to be (It's not a Safe), and unless you have issues with strength in your fingers, it's very easy to use. The combination took some tinkering to change, but it was pretty easy to do so, and overall from that perspective it's what I would call a good product. Now the bad. 1) Knowing how it works, if you were to hand me your StopBox without telling me the code, I could have it open in 10 seconds. The locking mechanism is very easy to manipulate in such a way that as long as I can hold the box under my arm, I can determine your combination very quickly just by feeling how the buttons move when you press the thumb button in. It reminds me of a 1980's Masterlock combination lock I had on my high school locker. 2) This is the worst part. With ZERO instruction from me as to how to open it, my 10-year daughter had it open in 2 minutes. I would never trust it to secure my firearm in an unlocked room. It's probably good for a travel case where it can slow someone down long enough for you or someone else to intervene, but it won't keep anyone out who has touched one before.     • No electronics or batteries
I mounted the "free" box to the top of the console of my truck. It worked fine for the first 2 days. Now it won't close up and lock. Disappointed. The one in my bedroom works fine mounted to my dresser. I guess you really don't get something for nothing. I paid for both and only 1 works.
