These Paddles are entry level and are quite noisy when ball hits them. The rubber layers making the sides is quite thin and surprisingly the noise level across the paddle surface varies significantly. I paid 25 bucks for this kit. Anyone who complains about “strictly for beginners” and giving a low rating...uhh...duh...a half decent SINGLE pro paddle is going to be at least 2-3 times as much. For 25 dollars it’s a solid set. The orange balls have less bounce which is great for people who play a lot harder. Can’t go wrong picking this set. Four pretty good beginner paddles, 6 balls. Anyone who’s saying “not worth it” is just being an elitist. I needed a kit I could beat up with my beginner friends and it’s a better set up than most places that have ping pong, unless you’re going to a table tennis club, in which case. It’s the best deal for someone looking to get into the sport or not wanting to spend 100+ dollars. Yes you will eventually outgrow this, but it’s a great starting point and the paddles have just enough grip to where you can hone spin technique ... show more

It is better to put little bit more money in and get something better. I thought that the brand is famous so they would be selling good stuff but the paddles rubber are already pealing and the balls are of bad quality. This set should not be more than $10-12.

The so called 'performance' label means that the pedles are SHORTER than standard pedles. These products could be OK for kids but adult players need the regular size pedles.Why not be onest about what you are selling?

This may be okay for absolute beginners but otherwise a waste of money for serious players. The paddle has to play in it. Essentially a dead racket.

Bought these paddles for my indoor ping pong table. This is good as a beginner's paddles but I would expect more padded sides. It still works good but having better padding would make the game experience even better. They also come with six 3 star rated ping pong balls which are super nice. Way better than the balls that came along with the table. Overall makes my indoor game experience good. ... show more

Gluing in handles and between wood laminations doesn't hold up well; laminations separate. Good paddle surface makes for nice ball control. Reasonable price for quality, but will probably buy a better set next time.

It is good foe defense and beginners need lots of energy to retuern the ball. It absorbs almost all energy of the ball.
