I had some old hand towels in the bathroom that we just painted and fixed up, my wife really didn't like them. I chose these because the colors were perfect and they said "washable" I am pleasantly surprised at these towels, they are soft and absorbent. I had some ridiculous old dishtowels that weren't particularly absorbent and were rough to the touch. I got this set and absolutely love them. They are smooth, feel good in your hands and they're very absorbent, and they don't shrink or wrinkle up in the wash. I highly recommend these, I've used many dishtowels over the years including in culinary school and working food service, these would be my choice for any such setting. ... show more

These towels are great. Or not so great. It depends which half of the set I’m reviewing. The solid ones are terrific….soft, very absorbent, launder perfectly. The striped ones, though, aren’t any of those things. They’re rough, unpleasant to use, and don’t pick up so much as a tablespoon of water. They came out of the laundry bedraggled. Ugh. If I could choose just solid ones, I’d order a bunch more. ... show more
