I ordered this even though all the reviews are terrible. Now I’m leaving a good one. I had my old home theater system die, leaving me with 5 good external speakers. I, quite frankly, never took advantage of the 5.1 surround sound capabilities. It was always multiple stereo inputs via left/right RCA jacks. I found an old A/C adapter with the correct connector and a 12-volt D/C output in my adapter box. Put 2 speakers on the left and two on the right. Plenty of power and the treble and bass knobs have good range. I didn’t want or need a full-blown home theater. Would have liked a remote. There is no balance knob.     • Does not come with AC Adaptor
This product does not come with an AC Adaptor a critical item necessary for it to function. It requires 12 v DC with a circular tip adaptor and those are typically not lying around in one's house. As a result this product can not be used or checked otherwise. I get that it does not come with the 3.5mm to Co-Ax/RCA cable. That could be explained away. However missing power supply is a pretty big issue that has not been mentioned in the Product description. I purchased a universal 12V adapter from local Walmart just to see if this works at all. There are very high static noises and the volume control knob is hyper sensitive. The Volume change steps are pretty long ones. If you move the volume knob ever so slightly, the sound level jumps significantly. ... show more
