These are great kits for kids. I used them with my Girl Scout troop (ages 6-12) The younger girls needed help, but the older ones had a great time with these. The screws were super tiny, but with the magnetized screwdrivers, it did help a lot. I did purchase extra screwdrivers, so each girl had one and I also purchased some small trays for them to keep all of the pieces to their set in the tray. We had lots of fun with these! ... show more

I got this to keep my Grandkids busy while visiting. I thought they would need alot of help. No! My Granddaughter (8 years old) tackled one and can't wait to build more. She was able to read an interpret the assembly directions with minimal help. When complete, we figured out she got something wrong, but she can disassemble and correct it. I didn't realize there was 5 robot kits in the box! One down, 4 to go! ... show more

The concept of this kit is great, 5 different things you can build and young kids can do it. The reality is there are some very frustrating aspects to the materials used. For starters, how about making the extremely thin motor wires solid rather than multiple small wires so you can connect them easily? ... show more

    • Parts a way too small, even for small hands!
the parts are way too small to work with, be it a eight year old or a grandpa helping! This problem alone is a show stopper. The instructions are very limited too, for example they tell you to install a part, but don't tell you that you need to count in a number of holes in, and it needs to be the same number for each item. There are a lot of material included - so in that sense a good deal - but it would be much better to have model or two - and twice the size ... show more
