I don't know why they insist on calling these drums. It's a multitonal BELL. Imagine a bell that can play different tones. They get around tuning by using numbers instead of notes. You do get a scale, relative to the highest or lowest note but don't expect perfect tuning. It's a bell. It's awesome for what it is. The bag is padded and nice quality. The notes on average are about 10 cents sharp. Playing one tongue will often vibrate a nearby tongue, creating ugly dissonance. This is probably an ok purchase for a non musician, but if you have any musical inclination you should be looking into a real tongue drum made by a specialist. Unfortunately they don't come cheap, but your alternative is a mass market drum with small problems that will bug you in the long run. Just get the good one the first time. ... show more

A Nice Pan Drum. But the resonance hangs on longer than I expected. Will be a challenge to learn to play. Nice build. Song book comes with it.
