Ingenuity is seeing a problem and, rather than complaining about and whining, finding a solution. When I first started flying my Mini 3 Pro, I was trying to take off from my lawn. A couple blades of grass stopped the propellers from spinning. Rather than get my launch/landing pad, I just took off from pavement and that was a quick solution. I wondered why they built this drone to set so close to the ground. I thought, "there must be something that can remedy this," so I went to Duck Duck Go. I saw these neat little landing gear that picks the thing up an inch or so and figured, for the price I'd try it. PERFECT! They snap in place easily and securely, do NOT effect the control of the aircraft and, thank's to DJI's smooth operation, work perfectly for landing as well as taking off. So I see people complaining, "I can't put the drone away with the landing gear on" and "I have to take them off to take out the battery." Boo hoo hoo.....first world, 21st century problems, my friends. Here's one....the gimbal cover also has to be off to use this device. In summation. it took a total of 2 seconds to install, 1 second to remove. Yup...I timed it...so if one of the aforementioned "problems" is a deal breaker for you, then you must have a pretty easy life if these are your biggest concerns :-) Wanna get that bad boy sitting off the ground?     • It works and easy to take on and off
It was easy to put on. I do wish it were a little higher yet, but it does look a little awkward when it takes off and larger would probably be worse for the aerodynamics.

This landing gear has its use and probably a good thing too have on hand. Even though I use a platform (small) the mini 3 pro can still get its props entangled in grasses (so you need a little more height). Noting like landing in dew and muddy grounds with a $750.00 toy. I've only used it a few times, its handy, and it never came off or was lost. But I wouldn't push it and trust it as a leg type hook too latch and tow anything in play; Im sure its not made too Hook/latch/tow... and it just might come loose in flight. Keep in mind this is an add on, thus it will add more weight too the 249 gram Mini 3... drone. With all the US FAA bs, the extra weight puts the mini 3 in a overweight and would force you to have register your drone... either recreational or commercial. No biggie! You can still fly recreational even if its over 250g as I understand it and researched. Per my understanding/research... The 250g (or less) rule simply states you don't need to pay but still must register, its not saying (over 250g) you must register commercial! You can still Fly recreational and be over 250g. But dont hold me too that! Im not the FAA. ... show more

    • Perfect fit, perfect color match. Looks like it belongs on the drone.
I wanted this landing gear for landing on grass. It raises the drone about 3/4" which is enough to make a difference. They fit perfectly and match the color of the drone. The skids fold up nice and compact and you can change the battery without removing them if you fold them first.

    • Tilts Drone Forward
The gear attaches easily and the drone (mini 3 pro) is stable, however the drone is tilted downward in the front by a good 10-13 degrees. I haven’t had any problems taking off vertically (someone believed this could cause the drone to move forward on takeoff) but if landing on anything other than a flat surface you could grind your front props into grass or the ground. I’ve searched high and low for a set of gear that takes into account the drone’s designed resting angle but haven’t found any. ... show more

    • When folded it doesn’t stay attached. Defeats purpose of whole design
Didn’t fit very well. I was under the impression it could be installed and left on due to the fact that it was designed to be on the drone and still allow the gimbal cover to be snapped on. The gear folds so you can store easier but it was only secure when the gear was not folded in. Once gear was folded in it would fall off from just being in the case and normal travel-so had to take it off and on every time and after 5 times the tab broke off the front and rendered it useless.
