In doing a side by side comparison of the Startrc MA2 guard with the DJI MA2 guard you can see it’s a good alternative. In the Startrc positives is the larger instruction book which is easier to read as well as the extra struts in the guard itself. I like the extra struts as it appears to make it less likely that an accidental contact with something or even some one would lead to significant damage or injury to either the drone or the thing or person contacted. It seems like this guard may better address the FAA’s new rules/concerns over protecting people from injury that the DJI guard but both clearly are safer in that regard than no guard. The Startrc also has little “fingers” that help hold the side pieces together while the DJI is a slide fit only. Additionally the Startrc reports a weight of 75g while the DJI is 90g. It the DJI positives the structure is solid as compared to the more hollow structure of the Startrc. Of course the lighter weight needs to be achieved somehow. The DJI seems to be of a slightly softer and less brittle plastic than the Startrc but I didn’t test it or know if it’s an issue or not. Finally the DJI has a descriptive code for which arm of the from each hole is to be placed (eg LB for left back) while the Startrc has a numbering system (1&2 for left 3&4 for right). That being said it’s pretty obvious what goes where for both. I haven’t seen any difference in flight characteristics between the two but assume a slightly better battery life with the Startrc due to the lighter weight In short the Startrc Mavic Air 2 guard is a great alternative, if not a better one, to the DJI Mavic Air 2 guard. I like the extra struts and lighter weight of the Startrc over the DJI so I will likely make this my “go to “ guard. ... show more

Purchased these and they were delivered today. They came well packed in a box with clear and easy instructions. Installed in about three minutes with no problems. As I started the flight, the Flyapp informed me it had detected the prop guards. I noticed a slight difference in performance but nothing out of the norm for drone with prop guards. After flight, I removed and disassembled guards and they fitted in my drone backpack no problem. Overall I definitely would recommend these guards and I'm sure many of us will be using guards with FAA regs. ... show more

The product is well built, solidly connects and is easily install and removed. I used it only when flying in area were there could be obstacle trouble (around trees with small branches). Otherwise, when installed it has significant impact on the drones performance due to weight and wind drag. I recommend it for flight specific usage however not something you'd want to keep installed all the time. ... show more

I just received these blade guards the other day! And for any new non experience pilot you need to have a pair of these they will say you a lot of money and down time. Cheap molded plastic that breaks easily. Installed nicely and lightweight was happy with that. But on a first flight, a minor tangle in the tapestry and one snapped. I'll order an official set from DJI, hopefully, they make them out of a more flexible material. If you buy these, be sure to get two pairs so you have replacements. Which I may end up doing as I have no idea if the DJI ones are any better? ... show more

have put these on 4x. One of the brackets developed a faded/white area and the 5th time installed it cracked. So left with 3 prop protectors and past the Amazon return window for this purchase. update: fixed with duct tape. However 2 months later, remaining 3 blade protectors are completely cracked. Tossed in the garbage. this item is not meant to be put on/taken off when needed or not. ... show more

The part is adequately built and modestly lightweight. It seemed very sturdy. I would have preferred it to be a bit lighter, though. However, the main reason for my rating is that it was advertised to be compatible with the DJI Air 2S. It is not. The front propellor guards do not fit over the front landing gear. The opening in the guards are too small for the landing gear legs on the Air 2S. . You would have to cut away material on the guard to make them fit. So, do not buy these if you have a DJI Air 2S. ... show more

Entirely too fragile. My product was broken upon delivery. Yes this product is light weight but you could snap these guards like match sticks. Nice try but a waste of money in my opinion. Returning mine.
