  • Problematic axles? Poor design and quality?
Color: Black Size: Front and Rear
The media could not be loaded. I would like to start by saying that I want a full refund or replacement of the axles. When I first got these axles, they did not come lubed or greased. I lubed up the gears and installed them on my Axial SCX10.2. All the necessary hardware was not included and I had to use spare parts that I had laying around from my other builds. There were only enough long screws to fully install my two of my shocks. The axles worked pretty good for about 2 weeks…..that’s when all the problems started happening. First, screws were backing out of both my front and rear diff skids. A few of them had gotten lost before I noticed. I then replaced those with spare parts once again. The screws that mount my servo plate to the axle keep backing out and the the screws that mount my servo to the servo plate also keep backing out. The newest and most annoying issues I’m having now is that the rear portals will flip around even if they’re fully tightened without stripping the screws and the left front portal does not turn the wheel when driving on a slight flat incline or a tiny rock. I have taken the portal apart several times and found no visual issues with the gears, but the bearings keep falling out of the portal cover and do not stay in. Other than that, there is some play that should not be there which may cause the gears to come off the pins. I do not recommend buying these axles. You’re better off with CAPRA AXLES! ... show more

  • Update on Axles-Important
Color: Silver Size: Front and Rear
I originally gave these axles 3 stars because the turning radius was horrible. I ended up using them on a parts build (pictured) and noticed the reason the turning radius is so bad is because there is a allen screw on both ends stopping the knuckle from fully turning(see picture, circled in blue after screw was removed). I took them apart and removed the screw on both sides. That improved the turning radius by a lot. There was no binding whatsoever without them. I have no idea why Injora puts them there. While apart I also did the overdrive (24t/8t) on the front axle. Took the truck out and it did amazing. They can turn so much better now. The overdrive and removing those allen screws was a game changer. Drove it hard crawling for about 4 hours and they performed perfectly. As far as all these guys crying about greasing the axles and thread locking all the hardware. That should be done with every axle set you buy lol. ... show more

  • All hardware is trash.
Color: Black Size: Front and Rear
Let me start off with the headline. REMOVE EVERY SCREW AND THROW THEM AWAY!! The threading tolerances are horribly large and thread lock won't help for long. I just used m3 x 1.25 pitch in most every spot. Once you replace only one screw, you'll notice a tighter twist all the way down and a much tighter torque down. The hexes will also last more than one removal and install. Next. The link shackles/mounts on the diffs are not the correct offset, front to back. Almost every review pic shows a very positive caster pitch because there is not one perfect link to use the right frame anchor spots. If I had a standard frame, it would not have worked PROPERLY. Using higher mounted and shorter top front links causes an axle attitude change as the shocks compress. Which you really only want in the rear. I was able to make it acceptable only by using a vanquish flat frame for a 10.2. Next, they are dry and all hardware is loose enough to fall out in shipment. Screws already mentioned, grease these before use. Next, pinion and locker sun gear clearance and lash. As with every axle I use, I try a few shims in and outside of the pinion bearing to achieve CORRECT mesh and slack. This is "pinion preload" I did NOT this time. They are pre shimmed with brass and have an e clip. Having thought this was accounted for I left it alone. BIG MISTAKE. The rear pinion slack allowed the mesh to run too loose of tolerance and sheared the sun gear. Trying to find a replacement... Not fun. I believe of the pinion is preloaded or shimmed a little tighter (shims on the inside bearing) these may last a long time. I need another pair and would consider it if something is done about the quality control. ... show more
