This projector is great for outdoor movies. We project onto the side of the house, and it's very easy to set up. The on device controls are great, because you don't need to bring the remote for most things.

I'm honestly shocked... I had little in the way of expectations for a budget projector, but this is actually usable, and not just in one scenario! I will say that this is not going to be wowing eyes in a board room, but it is very serviceable in a dim/dark room, or with a reflective screen. My needs were pretty simple - I just needed to show the occasional educational video in a small room, in subdued lighting, at a price that didn't sink my entire tech budget; it filled that need extremely well. The L36P supports a variety of input types, from VGA through HDMI and Android/iOS screen mirroring. All worked well in my initial testing, and the screen mirroring was smooth, even using a 7-yr old Android device. The display quality was more than sharp enough for an enjoyable experience. It's native 1920x1080, not 4k. I have not tested 4k input, but assume that it simply subsamples the image. Keystone and focus are both basic physical controls with little finesse, but with a horizontally perpendicular screen and modest vertical angle, you'll get a clean image with little fuss. The pixel pitch is also surprisingly tight - the 'window screen' effect was barely noticeable. The fan is pretty noisy, and the audio quality is only a little better than a modern phone cranked up to 11 - it's not going to rock your next action flic, but it is very intelligible for presentations, webcasts, etc... if you're within about 15 feet. You'll want external speakers (and this projector does work with an external Bluetooth speaker) if you're trying to listen from a distance, or in a small crowd. All told, this little wonder definitely exceeded my expectations, and was sufficiently budget friendly to have made getting a projector an option - I certainly couldn't have afforded many of the competitors at 3-20x the cost. ... show more

Staratlas 5G wifi bluetooth mini projector is lightweight, providing a super clear image in a small package. It kicks out a lot of heat but also cools down quickly, so the airflow is superior within the unit. The included HDMI cable was only 4', which wasn't long enough for what we needed. My hubby used a VGA cable instead, which is a nice option. The menu is easy to understand and use. I liked that it was easy to connect Bluetooth speakers and that there are several audio/video connection options that we haven't tried out yet. There's a remote that controls all of the menus, volume, & power, but the image adjustment is found on the device. Like most projectors this will perform best when you have the right space for it. It's sharp from a comfortable viewing distance and bright enough to use in a partially lit room. I strongly doubt this outputs 12,000 lumens but it's usable in a dimly lit room. For the best picture you will want to have as much light blocked as possible, you can still see the picture in a bright room, but it's significantly washed out and contrast is horrible. In a dark room the picture is good and should provide you with great viewing experience. I'd recommend this projector if you have the proper space for a cheap projector. Again, you'll want to eliminate as much light sources as possible since additional light sources affect the picture quality of projectors. I'd recommend an ALR projector screen as well; however, they are pretty expensive compared to a white wall or plain white screen. ... show more

Projector works for a very short time and then the bulb shuts off. Audio will continue playing with no picture. Not worth the money. Puts off an excessive amount of heat. Not easy to set up because it won’t stay running long enough to put in the WiFi password. Stay away. Don’t buy. Better off getting and Epson from Best Buy ... show more
