  • Great Product.
This Thermostat works great. Before the install my car temp would stay around 212-213 degrees while driving. Now my temp rarely goes over 196 degrees. Installation is simple. It's only 2 bolts on the flange then you just pop the old one out and pop the new one in. Easy peasy. Note: make sure you put the plunger in the correct position or the thermostat may not work properly and may cause your engine to overheat. Side tips: you can use a 1/2" socket or I think a 13 mm maybe. Also I recommend romoving your plastic engine cover and also removing the electrical connector from the air intake tube for easier access to the bolts. Furthermore I myself added a fel-pro thermostat gasket because my old thermostat was leaking coolant. The Thermostat does have a rubber seal around it but I wanted the peace of mind to know it wouldn't ever leak again. Good luck to all and safe travels. ... show more

  • Works great in my 2007 Jeep JC SRT8 6.1
The cooling fan in my Jeep SRT8 blown!! It was a garbage knock off that some previous owner installed in her). I ordered a oem mopar cooling fan (expensive as f…….) but is what it is. The Jeep was always running with the needle between 210 - 215°F (factory 203°F thermostat). I ordered this stant (motorad) 190°F thermostat (I didn’t go with the 180°F one because it needs a custom tune to start the fan up at early temperature, it will turn your check engine light on otherwise). I also ordered a new gates water pump and radiator hoses. Difference is night and day!!! temps stay between 196 - 203°F while you driving and statically at 198°F on idle (under inclement Florida summer about 91°F). MAKE SURE TO BLEED THE COOLING SYSTEM PROPERLY! ... show more

  • Easy to install and works great on 2006 5.7 Hemi engine
Very good value for price. I had a shop put a new water pump and thermostat in my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. They used the OEM 205 degree thermostat which caused the truck to run warmer than usual. Temp gauge would stay at half or climb about 1/8” above half. When towing uphill a steep grade with a loaded trailer temp would rise to about 3/4 or higher on the gauge. Now with this thermostat temp stays below half about 1/8” and driving the same grade reaches to about half but doesn’t go over. Pretty easy to install if you watch the 1Aauto.com website video on how to replace the thermostat on these 2006 5.7 Hemi engines. Used a 13mm socket and an adjustable pair of pliers for the hose clamp. Would recommend. ... show more

  • one star taken off for poor packaging. The thermostat came with the gasket already ...
First of, one star taken off for poor packaging. The thermostat came with the gasket already attached, which is good. Some of the reviews indicated no gasket. One reason i bought this to replace my old one is because, my coolant is leaking from this area. The installation went fairly well and easy, and so far no leaking. Only time will tell. ... show more

  • Meets Expectations
Finally, an aftermarket part which exceeds the quality of original equipment. I will monitor the coolant temperature to verify consistent operation. Ram 5.7L

  • Works in a 2013 Challenger R/T Hemi 5.7 with no codes thrown
I replaced my water pump and thermostat at the same time, using this thermostat to help with heat soak power loss in the warmer months. So far so good, the temp stays a few ticks lower on the dash and no hiccups or temp swings. I have minimal mods with a canned 93 octane tune, and I haven't had any codes/dummy lights. Do yourself a favor and Youtube how to install a water pump or thermostat for a Hemi if you've never done it. It isn't overly complex, but it helps to see how everything comes apart before doing it yourself. ... show more

  • Good product so far
It’s been a few months now, this seems to work pretty well. We’ve had some high 90 degree days and my coolant temp hasn’t got above about 195 even with the AC and everything else running.

  • Careful. Low quality.
Careful. I bought 2 of these. One for my 08 Aspen 5.7L. After 20K miles on it it won't open until 230* then it works but doesn't keep consistent temps. It will swing in 10-15* range even during steady state cruising. Second is in my 12 Grand Cherokee Overland 5.7L. 8K miles and it will not close. Both are coming out and OE 205* going back in. Rubbish. ... show more
