  • Stant's Superstat - the best you can buy for your Jeep.
Stant-45209 Superstat Premium Thermostat is the ideal for my 2006 Jeep TJ 2.4L. Stant's a 125-year-old company based in Connersville, Indiana. I'd never buy another brand.

  • 2007 Jeep Wrangler doesn't fit mine
There is a notch in the gasket but the vehicle opening does not have a place for the notch. Fortunately, I was able to get a gasket without the notch at the local auto parts store. Once the gasket without the notch was installed there have not been any issues. Thermostat works great. Just be aware that this gasket has a notch. ... show more

  • Excellent thermostat 2005 PT Cruiser
It's installed on a 2005 PT Cruiser. I did it the same time as I did the radiator, because of more working room and the old one was factory (124,500 miles). The install was ok. Not a lot of room to work with. It says you don't need a gasket, but my factory one had the rubber one that goes around the outside and squeezes into the t-stat housing you unbolt from the engine. It was a little tough to install it in the car, but I also used a little high temperature gasket sealant to be sure of no future leaks. Once it was all together, it operates perfectly and has about 700 miles with no issues. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good thermostat. I also strongly recommend anyone who is replacing their radiator to replace the thermostat at the same time. • Works. Not a stant anymore, motorad now.
Box says stant superstat. The thermostat itself has a big fat "motorad" stamped on the side. Don't freak out, stant was acquired by motorad at some point. But it would be nice to know instead of thinking you got bait and switched. Thermostat was tested and works. Oh and mine came with the o-ring, to my surprise. ... show more

  • Doesn’t fit 2007 Jeep Wrangler
Seems to be good quality but it will not fit a 2007 Jeep Wrangler as advertised. They is a keyed nub on the gasket and there isn’t a spot for it on the housing. I could if just cut it off but I didn’t want to chance a leak so I returned it.

  • Higher quality
I replaced the engine on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler and needed a new thermostat. This part fit the bill and the quality seems to be higher than OEM. Contrary to many comments and reviews, you DO NOT need a gasket when installing this on a Wrangler. Installed easy and no leaks.
