I am a self avowed spatula snob. My all-time favorite spatula was mad in the '50s and '60s by Ecko Forge. I have been looking for the perfect replacement ever since. This spatula is a bit thicker than the Ecko and the handle is a bit longer, but after having used this for a few months, I am pretty happy with it. Works well with fried eggs and is sturdy enough to flip big burger patties. I think my kitchen tool drawer has at least 8 spatulas, metal and plastic. I like the thin Slotted Metal Spatula, works great with my Cast Iron Skillet, Thin Blade has a little flex which I like making it easier to slide under food. I've purchased several flexible spatulas (spatulae?) Over the past few years, and with every one of them, the blade broke off at the weld after 8 to 10 months. This one isn't quite as flexible, but the weld is much sturdier than the others. It works well enough to get under an omelet. I highly recommend this one over any of the others. ... show more

This spatula is fantastic, I have purchased a dozen spatulas over the last decade. Everyone one I have purchased has rusted after one cycle in the dish washer. I have washed this spatula many times and not a spec of rust. It is also a great spatula and very sturdy.
