These produce an even, thin line that is perfect for writing, particularly editing or annotating documents where I need to get a lot of text into a small space. They are reliable. I've never had any of them leak or give me any trouble. They don't skip or smudge. The ink lasts a long time. The only thing I don't like is that some of these, such as they yellow, are way too pale to use. I've tried them on dark paper, but they are no better. These are excellent quality pens. Unfortunately I broke four bones in my writing hand a year and a half ago, and although it healed fine I have some residual inflammation and loss of grip strength. The very narrow barrel is difficult for me to hold and causes my hand to cramp and hurt pretty quickly. I received three adult coloring books for Christmas, and wanted to be able to be precise when coloring in the fine details. I already own a set of the 88 size pens in the standard colors, so I already knew how well they work. Keep in mind, the old set that I own I've had for ten years, so even if you go a long time without using them, they still hold up (provided the cap is on securely, of course). I wanted to be able to add some brighter elements to some of the pictures, so I bought this to complement my current array of colors. I have lived stabilo pens for a while. These were actually to replace some I had gotten years ago. I love the colors. The shape of them can make them uncomfortable to use for a long period of time, but it doesnโ€™t bother me too much. Overall theyโ€™re still my favorite fine point felt tipped pens.

While there are many fiber tip pens to choose from I find Stabilo 88 to not only last a long time but they are stable for years on the shelf. Other pens of this type tend to get dry and the line not as saturated. Some of my lesser used colors have been kicking around for easily ten years without drying out. They have great colors and I love the fine point. I do not know how long they will last so I didnโ€™t comment on that. I just got them this week (first week of November 2019) so weโ€™ll see. My review will definitely change if they dry out quickly.
