The bolts are the perfect length to go through a 5/4 deck board (1" actual thickness.) The rocks seem really sturdy. My only complaint is that the safety plug threads are poorly molded on the cap and in the rocks. They do not tighten up, the slightest snug and then the threads just jump. The kids love it but is definitely meant for small hands and feet! It's very sturdy but us adults can't get a good hand or foot hold on it. Also we used scrap wood which happened to be too thick for the hardware that came with it but as long as you use decking wood it's great.

We bought these for a "new to us" play set to replace the old climbing wall holds. They're so bright and fun. Great mix of colors! They're really sturdy and have good weight and are of great quality. Installation was very easy but was time consuming because they are installed w/ an allen wrench and it just generally takes longer. But the end product was just what we wanted! Love it ... show more

When my package arrived in the mail, I think I got a used pack. The plastic bag was opened and I only had 9 holds. But the screws and screw covers were all there and my toddler's climbing wall isn't huge so I thought it'd be fine to use 9 vs. 10. We built a little climbing wall on my toddler's play structure and she totally loves it. The holds are easy to install. Drill a hole, then secure with the screws/washer/fastener provided. Only a drill, pliers/hex tool required. The instruction manual also gives some tips on how to place the holds. Her climbing wall is made of leftover siding from our shed with studs behind it. For the holds we installed on the studs, I drilled directly into the wood vs. using the provided screws. All of the holds are very secure. The adults in my family climbed up the wall without any trouble and the holds don't wiggle at all. The holds are a perfect size for kids, I wouldn't buy anything bigger or smaller. Wish we didn't get shipped an open package, but otherwise, it's a great product. Will buy again. ... show more
