The game is amazing, the main issue I have is that I can't understand why majority of most games over 10 gigs you have to download like half of the files size on your switch. This one here had over 5 gigs. Why can't they put all data on physical copy? I understand patches, but when u insert card and have a huge download b4 u even play it, unreal. It's funny how p.s vita, 3ds, psp, ds, ect you never had this. And there are several large file size games on all of them. I think it's funny that all my download data goes on a micro sd card that is a fraction of the size, and some go up to 500 gigs now for switch. And the larger games we buy physically comes with mandatory downloads if you want all you pay for. ... show more

The game in all was great. Brings back memories of the original one from 17 years ago. There are some minor glitches and a bit lag in this one but I still would recommend.

Gor my order today! So excited for these games to arrive. I just included pictures of all three I purchased. Everything was nice and new. No problems and it looked well packaged. Excited to play, hopefully there are not any glitches. I know sometimes there are reviews about that. I recently bought the Harry Potter lego switch game and multiple people said there were glitches, I didn't have any! So far no problems ordering switch games off of Amazon. It's so convenient. A was slightly to young to enjoy the original Battle For Bikini Bottom when it first came out, even though I did own a Playstation 2 as a child. So, this experience is my first with the game. And for a licensed Nickelodeon game, this is fantastic. The story is not great, but did it really need to be for a Spongebob game? The voice acting (except Mr. Krabs) is all done by the original voice actors. The gameplay is actually surprisingly intuitive, and the controls are easy to use but difficult to master. The game is oozing with Spongebob's charm and humor. However, I have two major complaints for this game that bring it down a notch. First off, during the game, the characters will repeat the same lines over and over and over. In the tutorial level in Spongebob's house, I heard "This is where I keep all my old comic books" come from Spongebob over 20 times. And second, the loading times are ridiculously long. I waited 2 whole minutes for the first stage (Jellyfish fields) to load. And every time you die, the game has to go through the long load time again! Other then those two complaints though, the game is great, and is well worth the price. ... show more

Bought as a gift, so no picture... However I did play the PS4 version: So I can say that this game is still as fantastic and memorable how it was on past gens. Simple gameplay, great visuals, but still bad VA for certain characters. Still gets a 5/5 in my book, loved this game as a child even more as an adult. ☺ ... show more

In summary: The original game is a five star product. The two stars off are for the lack of polish, gameplay, and sound issues that the remake introduces. Battle for Bikini Bottom continues to hold a trophy as one of the greatest licensed games of all time, with only few others rising to meet this mark. That being said, after some time spent with the remake, it's very easy to notice that the remake is significantly underpolished in comparison to the original game to the point where this would be a lower score if not for the low pricepoint. For this price, if you are a fan of the license or have no other means to play Battle for Bikini Bottom, I would recommend you buy it regardless. The remake is rushed. There is no one or two ways about this. You can tell they were aspiring to reach the level of polish that the Crash/Spyro remakes had, but were met with either a short development window or low budget along the way. I've encountered many glitches and less-than-fulfilling gameplay throughout my time with it. There are spots in certain levels in which a character voice line triggers, so running over them repeatedly will have Patrick or Spongebob quip endlessly. The only additional "feature" in the form of it's multiplayer is a slogging experience that makes the game itself seem even more rushed by comparison. At first, I thought my experience might have been chalked-up to the original game itself aging. So as a thought experiment, upon beating the tutorial and first mission of Rehydrated (vs. King Jellyfish), I popped the original game into my Wii and played the same tutorial and mission in the original game. Playing one after the other, it becomes very clear that the original reigns supreme in terms of artstyle and gameplay. It is amazing that this game got a remake at all, and for that alone, it was an immediate preorder-and-buy. That said, this game did not live up to my expectations, and I would have been very disappointed if Rehydrated had been a $60 dollar purchase. I would have loved to see this game get a delay of a year or two in order to see it get a polish on every front, and if that included more missions, playable characters in story mode, and a remastered/rerecorded soundtrack and voicelines? I would have happily played more than $60 dollars. ... show more
