Since people have taken the time to review this case based on obvious conclusions from the photos and not actually owning the case, I figure I'd review it since I actually have the case. The case is great for the person who wants to have the pen with them all of the time and doesn't want to attach a double-sided pen-loop holder to the back of their phone or whatever case they found suitable for the time being. The finish is a matte black that does attached figure prints and greasy marks. I use a Zagg front screen protector and it has not caused any lifting along the edges. The Tech21 and the Spigen clear polylytherane cases. It uses the same adhesive strips on the inner potions of the case to help with the hold. The volume + power buttons are completely accessible. My 6' 7" brother can lock/unlock the phone closed, and my 2 yr old niece, unfortunately, had no problems. She was also able to take the pen out. The pen will not be falling out easily. If anything, it takes a minute to get comfortable retrieving the pen from the slot. No, it does not have hinge protection. Oddly, the front of my case is missing some paint. The quality control certainly slacked with my unit, but it took FAR TOO LONG to receive this case so I'm stuck with this one. NFC charging and wireless device charging works just fine. ... show more

Here's an actual review from someone who bought it and didn't just look at the the picture. The case is THIN. Compared to the official leather case, it's thinner than that. All ports are easy to access, except for the SIM slot. Make sure you put in your SIM card before putting on the case. It has glue strips, so you only have 1-2 tries before you have to start using the extra glue-strips provided in the packaging. If you want a case that doesn't use glue strips, I recommend the official leather case. On the back, there's a small bump (along with the camera bump) to keep the phone from wobbling when you place is down or write on it flat. That was pleasant surprise. The front is protruded enough to protect the front screen and not be annoying to gestures. The main feature: the pen slot. It doesn't get in the way of the finger print sensor. Maybe if you want to unlock it while it's closed(phone facing up), it might get in the way. But I simply assigned a fingerprint to the tip of my middle finger to unlock it this way. The pen is very secure. It doesn't rotate or budge. I have to manhandle it a bit to get it out. Of course it doesn't protect the hinge! If you want hinge protection, Spigen has other cases that offer that. One that's a literal BRICK for ultimate protection, and another that's quite slim. I want to set the record straight. The location of the S Pen holder DOES NOT interfere with the fingerprint scanner, power button, or volume control. Everything can be accessed with ease! If I had to criticize this case at all it would be the sharp edges. However, I originally had the Samsung slim carbon fiber case on the phone. It barely provided any protection! This case provides tons of protection for the phone. I can live with the sharper edges for the protection. Great case! The case doesn't add much thickness and still seems to do a good job protecting the phone. The stylus holder is tight so I'm not concerned about losing the S pen. The placement of the s pen holder is is not obtrusive to the volume buttons. I can still use the wireless charger with the case on and I like the feel of the case. It not too tacky nor too slippery. Plus I can easily type on the front screen without the case getting in the way ... show more

    • Excellent Case With Pen Holder
It is a bit bulky and heavy, but feels great in hand! Also looks solid for drop protection, except for the hinge, which is completely exposed. It feels like it is a part of the device itself and when you open it it just feels like one unit - not like a case on a phone. The texture is grippier and you have a solid hold. The pen holder is really nice and gives you a nice grip point for your thumb when holding in tablet mode with your hand open behind the device. The pen kind of "clips in," the holder; not into any kind sleeve or holder. It has an "overbite" where the pen holder overhangs the right side of screen when closed (that was obvious from sales photos), but it makes opening the Fold easier. A bit tough to get used to the thicker case around the power and fingerprint reader. You have to be certain the flat side of the pen points towards the other side so you have room to get to the power button. As for pocketability, it easily slips in and out of my dad jeans while still giving a great in hand feel. It has a little foot on the back, and the other half edges stick up a bit so it is perfectly flat when laying on a table - no wobble. Props to Spigen for being among the first to introduce a Z Fold3 case with a slot for the S Pen Fold Edition, but the execution here is poor, at best. Granted, the Z Fold3 is a challenging device to design a case for in the first place, and designing one that also holds the S Pen is even more difficult, but this thing is unacceptable. Poor cut, fit and finish. Adds an absurd amount of bulk to an already chunky phone. Because the S Pen slot results in the front half of the case extending well beyond the actual edge of the device, using the side key's fingerprint scanner causes the device to open slightly. The whole thing looks sloppy, some of the edges are rather sharp, and the two halves of the case look uneven when the device is unfolded. No doubt, the design and production of this case was rushed.
