These are 38mm across (1.5"), 40mm (1 and 5/8") including the crown, with big numbers, and red highlights (24-hour time and the second-hand sweep), making reading the time quick and easy. So I love the watch. It is easy to read and professional looking. I wanted a watch that specifically had a 24 hour dial on it and there is not a ton out there. However, I hate the band. I realize that it is supposed to be for medical professionals and be durable but I have tiny oval wrists and the watch band is so stiff that it only makes a circle and doesn't mold or relax to fit my wrist well. Since it doesn't fit well due the material it also rotates around my wrist but tightening it more makes it uncomfortable. I solved the problem and bought a Spiedel leather band. Between buying this watch and the new band, it was still less expensive than some I have bought in the past. Overall great purchase. ... show more

Easy to read black numerals on white face dial; however, the luminous paint on the hands is not evident. I am not in the health care industry, nor a special forces agent, so nighttime viewing is not an issue. This is a great watch, easy to use when taking pulses and such. I hadn't really put the waterproof claim to the test until yesterday. I had forgotten I took my watch off and put it in my scrub top pocket. Fast forward to drying a load of laundry yesterday and there's an awful clunking sound coming from the dryer. Come to find out this poor watch had gone through the wash cycle and half a dry cycle, and still somehow works perfectly! I'm throughly impressed. If it'll hold up to being submerged in water for an hour I think it'll hold up to hand washing! ... show more
