This is a fantastic watch for healthcare workers or anyone really that wants a reliable and functional watch. After 6 months it displays the time accurate to the exact second that is shown on my phone’s clock as well. So it keeps time very well. I have showered with it, taken it swimming, and went skydiving with it on, so the water/air tightness is also proven. It has also been bumped on a lot of corners and dropped, and it keeps ticking. I had originally bought the version without the backlight, but the glow in the dark hands did not suffice for night shifts. I’m glad I switched to the backlight. It does flicker a bit, but it may be time for a new battery. It is very comfortable to wear. The loop that holds the end of the band in place sometimes slips off throughout the day, but it’s easily slid back on. The face is very easy to read, and I love that the second hand is red, for counting vital signs or IV pushes. I would highly recommend this Speidel watch for its durability and functional watch face. ... show more

Apparently, I wrote the review and never sent it so I am doubling down on the 5 star review and the original review will be underneath. I loved my daughter's watch so much (she wears hers all the time and loved it) and I kept looking at and thought, I want one too. So I ordered one for myself. It's an excellent watch. I love the fact that it has a light, numbers are large and clear.. And I can wear it when I take a shower and I I can wear it swimming. I have a very small wrist and I can actually wear this on the last notch. Beautiful product. Everyone should have one. And here is the original review that I apparently didn't send: Ask me for a review after I give it to my daughter on her birthday, May 6th. She is completing her 1st year of nursing school. I think the watch looks beautiful and if it lives up to what you have described in your advertisement, I'm sure she'll be thrilled. ... show more

This WATCH is second one bought for wife, both in 80's and BIG letters and night lite , glowing hands at night, she likes very much. Note the previous one lasted several years. She likes band very much but band rings broke after a relativitively short time, I put small tyrap on the band to replace them (she wore it that way looooong time.) Yes its water proof for shower etc. watch hands are glow in the dark so are sometimes hard to see during the day quickly. watch band will slide around ( I have very small wrists so it doesnt like to stay put) overall like the watch and indiglo function. not crazy about band..

Gave to my 83 year old mom for Birthday. The numbers are big enough and it glows in the dark nicely. Very well made and water proof! Great for Senior citizens. The watch band is a pretty color as well:-)

    • The strap broke today and I am not happy because I really liked this watch.

If I had written this review yesterday I would have given the watch mostly 5 stars. I've worn it a lot in the last two and half months that I have owned it. But today the strap broke. I wasn't doing anything unusual that might have precipitated the problem and I haven't done anything unusual the entire time I've owned the watch. Suddenly my watch was loose on my wrist and it fell through the sleeve of my shirt. I was able to capture only 1 of the three very tiny bits of hardware so I won't be able to fix it.
