This primer is pretty darn good for the price.. It is a little thick for HVLP gun with 4.0 tip so I thinned it 5% and used three coats.. It was still a good build thickness and was able to block sand with 600 grit, wet and it left a nice, smooth surface. It sands easily. So far after being painted, I don't see any shrinkage or dry back spots. It's been a month and so far so good.. I would have to say it's better than I thought it would be. For a user friendly primer at a cheaper price, I definitely recommend it! ... show more

This stuff does great. I get excellent results spraying one medium coat. Tip for anyone looking at this, yes it is thick, but I reduce it 4:1:10% and it does fine in my Spectrum HVLP at around 24psi

Exactly what I wanted. Lays down nice, sands easy. Do not mix more than you are going to spray and do not leave it in your gun. This stuff sets up quick, especially in the sun!

i use this primer a lot at home on my own stuff. i think its the best primer money can buy. i see some reviews saying its too thick. i spray it out of my SATA jet RP gun with a 1.3 inner head and needle. it lays down and sprays great. i recommend any speedo cote product to anyone.
