    • Not durable - leaking after only 2-1/2 years
This radiator was exactly what I needed when replacing the original leaking one in my 2002 Dodge RAM 1500. All the mounting holes aligned and all the hardware required was included. Very easy to swap out. So I thought, for the price I paid, great value, right? Not even.... This radiator sprung a leak in the core near the top hose outlet. Installed Feb 2017 and started leaking Sep 2019. What value this radiator might have been just evaporated. The time and material to replace certainly makes this radiator a losing proposition. As the saying goes, you get what you paid for. Even so, one would think 2-1/2 years service is pretty short. My original OEM radiator lasted 15 years and it only failed due to the plastic side tank cracking and not a core failure. But wait, what about the warranty you ask? No go there cause this radiator only carries a TWO year warranty. Isn't that always the case these days? Planned obsolescence so that the product fails right after the warranty expires. Bottom line, probably should have bought a radiator from my local auto supply house. At least their warranty is "Lifetime" which would suggest better engineering and manufacturing, not the "planned obsolescence" that is engineered to fail. ... show more

    • It does not have a drain like the original
Works as it should. It fit my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L. * side note. It does not have a drain like the original, so the only way to drain this particular radiator is to take off bottom hose. Not as convenient as the OEM, but not a deal breaker either.

easily installs on my 2003 dodge ram 1500. that washer fluid resivuar is dificult to get off of the fan shroud so I just left it there. this radiator is not painted, i left it that way. there is no drain plug on the new one but who needs that anyway. you will need hardware from the old one to install. total install time for a modest mechanic in a hurry, about two hours. it takes a while draining the old radiator using the drain port so I just pulled the bottom hose and used a bucket to catch the flood... ... show more

Was easy to install and fit all the accompanying original parts like the power steering cooler, etc. it's a bit different in shape overall that the original 03 Dodge Ram 1500 radiator I had so the fan shroud doesn't fit exactly right and tight but it's good enough and 4000 miles later I have no complaints. I think it holds slightly less coolant than the original too. I was expecting to put in nearly 4 gallons and only got about 3 before my reservoir was topped off. Even after burping the system of all the air, I probably only added another quart of coolant. But like I said, easy to install and I've had it for 4000 miles with zero issues ... show more

UPDATE: Three years later and it still works like a champ! Buy from Spectra folks. PRIOR REVIEW: This does not have drain hole. Tanks are smaller than my mopar original but not by much. I did not measure the volume so it maybe just the appearance factor. Plastic is smooth and appears thin compared to the original. But for what it costs compared to original I will be happy if it lasts for three years. Will update later as I don't know how long it will work. ... show more

The radiator is similar to the OEM. The only difference is no drain valve. The mounting bolts for the transmission cooler were a different size. I remover the nuts off the original radiator and used them on the new one.

Seems good it's been about a week now and no problems. I did have a mounting tab issue on the trans cooler as I had to find bolts to mount it on one side as it slipped in on the stock one but would highly recommend. Package/protection was A++

    • Great Quality OEM Radiator
Same factory OEM Radiator as Autozone, exactly the same box and Product ID numbers. Much cheaper then Autozone, they really mark them up. I am very happy.
