  • For having only 2 screws and 2 bolts...Jeez
Seriously, for having only 4 attachments points, 2 of which are on the top of the unit, this was insanely difficult to install. This is 100% because of the 2 screws that are on the side of the radiator. They are excruciatingly difficult to get to and annoying in every possible way removing the old one and putting the new one on. The thing is, if they were just an inch higher on both sides, I could have started and finished this project in 30 minutes flat. With where they are, I spent almost an hour and a half working on the driver side screw (it's only an inch or so long) it's unbelievably hard to get a good angle. Aside from the side screws, the radiator is really, really easy to get in and out. Move the hose clamps and pull off the 4 hoses, remove the annoying screws, push slightly forward and lift up - it slides out simply. Reverse to get the new one in. Easy - minus the screws. Have I mentioned that the side attachments suck? They do. A lot. Otherwise, great for the money, and doing it yourself will save you even more money. ... show more

  • Hyundai Tiburon Radiator Replacement
Long Review coming: 1st. Fast shipping & box was in good condition, no damage done to the fins. 2nd. This is the Universal one between Manual/Automatic made specifically for Tiburons 3rd. My Tiburon is an 2003 GT 2.7 6 Speed Manual. 4th. I started with fitting the new hoses & clamps on the new radiator situating where I want the clamps. 5th. If you have an Automatic Transmission, have a shop or a trusted service provider do the Trans cooling lines because you do not want to break those while trying to flare it. 6. It comes with NEW square nuts, 3 for the front and 2 for the sides, that means you have to reuse the bolts, so clean them and use a small dab of antiseaze. 7. If you have the Manual Trans just leave the caps on the trans cooler lead lines. 8. Once I got everything buttoned up, filling procedure is slowly fill radiator to barely covering the top of the inner tubes, fill the overflow with just below full. Start engine run for 3 minutes before you turn on heater core full heat and full fan speed. Keep engine running topping off as needed and burp the whole system so no air is in there. 9. Oh it does not come with new cap you need to purchase a new one or if you have a cap that's a year or less old put that on there. 10. I rated 4 stars because I'm going to run this car as my daily and I'll update as needed. ... show more

  • Great replacement. Brand new
Great replacement. Brand new, fit perfectly, and best of all - it was inexpensive on Amazon. This part goes for $120 at the auto parts store. Currently holding up after an overheat. Luckily, the overheat wasn't severe enough to blow the head gasket. Will update if it changes. On my Elantra it seemed like corrosion around the thermostat housing caused a coolant leak and the coolant to run low. It overheated. I replaced the thermostat and hoses and clamps and it overheated again and blew the radiator. I recommend doing a complete replacement of the cooling system afterwards: radiator, radiator cap, water hoses, thermostat, thermostat housing, water pump, and clamps after an overheat. The vehicle has been trouble free since. ... show more

  • Half the price of parts stores, easy to instal!l!
I bought this in november of ‘17 for 60.00, for my 05 Hyundai Elantra. The parts stores wanted to charge literally twice as much for a radiator. The shop wanted 600.00(!!!!!!!) To do the job! I had the old one out and this new one in hassle free in an hour and a half. Surprised to say this is one of the easiest Jobs I’ve done. I will update after it’s been in the car for a while. ... show more

  • Perfect fit for a 2006 Hyundai Elantra
Perfect fit for a 2006 Hyundai Elantra. If you have a Haynes repair manual, do yourself a favor and toss it in the trash. Whoever wrote the instructions for replacing the radiator must have been on drugs. Disregard its guidance to remove the radiator and fan intact. Take my advice to disconnect and remove the fan (two electrical connections and four bolts) before trying to access the bottom radiator hose and removing the radiator. It will make the job much, MUCH easier. I discovered this the hard way and almost gave up on the project because I couldn't even access the bottom hose clamp. Then I decided to go about it my own way and remove the fan first. The job became a breeze for any weekend mechanic. ADDITIONAL ADVICE: Be sure to follow procedures for properly refilling the coolant system. It's best to use a radiator fill funnel kit when restoring antifreeze in the last step of the radiator replacement. If you don't, air is likely to be trapped in the system and the car likely to overheat. Spend the additional money, do the job right the first time and avoid headaches. ... show more

  • hidden defect. wasted my money unable to return.
Needed to replace the original radiator due to seem leaks. Replaced with this item. Was very happy did not see fluid every were. Well about 3 weeks ago the car started (LURCHING) Engine light came on and had no transmission fluid registering on the did stick. come to find out today the transmission cooler connection on the radiator has been leaking. Circled the problem connector on radiator in red. The copper line came connected. Even when the vehicle is in the off position it still continually drips. My concern is I believe this issue has caused bigger issues with the transmission. then a seam leak on the radiator. ... show more

  • Best Bang fir your buck!
PERFECTION! Seriously a great buy for the cost. I needed it for my 2004 Hyundai Elantra and it did the trick! Purrs like a geriatric kitten, but she isn’t overheating anymore. This is a great deal and a quality part. I was leery because I’ve been done dirty with parts on here before, but everything form the petcock (which I believe is plastic) to the hose hookups were on point. ... show more

  • Double check part fitment
Good Product at a good price. I would double check car part interchangeability and fitment per application as amazon is not always correct. This part said it did not fit but after checking other resources it did in fact fit and saved me some money.
