I bought these for a trip to Europe with my family. They worked great, the water tested fine, there were no problems with leaking. The only drawback, which I knocked a star off for, is that the cap is not attached to the bottle. You can order replacement caps if you lose any, but that doesn't help when you're overseas and you lose one. ... show more

I got these for our day outings so that I don't have to carry around a tumbler everywhere! I drink my water throughout the day and with these, I like the ability to fold it up and stuff it in my bag when I'm finished with a bottle. I will say that these came with a smell as others have mentioned, but washed with soap (after letting soak with hot soapy water). When that didn't quite do it, I washed with hot water & vinegar, blanched them, and washed with soap and water. They're great other than getting past the initial smell. I know during summer months it gets so hot here in SC that we go through a LOT of water whenever outside & think these will get plenty of use! ... show more

Did Alaskan cruise, and used this in our bags for towns and hiking, and it did its job (hold water, drink from it, and pack away neatly to and from our cruise). I will say these are flimsy and to drink from them you have to hold them by the top/lid. I could do it one hand if you hold it like the top of a large beer bottle, but it is awkward. It has to be on the forefront of your mind when using it to not squeeze the middle and spill it everywhere. But having water while hiking and then packing 6 in the same space one thermos would fit was perfect our our cruise and I definitely would recommend them if you are not hiking every other week or if its for travel purposes like I had. Only improve I could think of is the bottom having a small/thin hard cover and between the top and bottom have some rods or something that collapse as well, but that would be fragile and probably not even worth it. ... show more

I bought these for a hiking trip because they are compact. I put them in boiling water like the directions say to do before first use to get rid of silicone smell. They were great for the first 10 uses then they started to make the water taste like plastic. I didn't trust them after that so I had to stop using them in the middle of my trip. ... show more

I like that the bottle is collapsible and easily tucks away in my bag until refill is needed. It took a moment for me to get used to not gripping the bottle so firmly, since it's sorta soft sided. It works! I washed & used it several times before I no longer have the slight sweet bottle taste in the water. I haven't used it with other beverages yet. Great tool for travelers however the strong of one of the bottles broke after a week of use. It was easy to take the smell of while using the instructions and the bottles have been extremely useful while traveling, allowing easy storage while folded and fast fill up at water stations. I would recommend the seller to provide replacement strings as they are no longer practical if you can’t hang them to your bag or hand. ... show more

These worked great for our trip to NYC. We wanted water bottles as we are a water family — but didn’t want to carry them around the city all day. These fit in our day packs no problem. They definitely do have a smell. I followed all the instructions to remove them — it did some. But we got over it.
