  • A nice clamp
Size: 37" Pack of 1 Style: Large
I was hesitant in buying this because its plastic, but it feels sturdier and its certainly easier to use than the all metal ones I have that screw in to tighten. I love the reverse use as not just a clamp but a spreader, the times in my life that would have been useful are too many to count. I even cut the stops off my old all metal ones so I can slip them off and turn them around to use the same way, yes I stole their idea. I got the 36” ones, only complaint, and just like my metal ones do the same, the metal bar bows a lot, but at least they don’t pop off like the all metal ones I have do once you crank them down enough for the bar to bow. All in all, I’m completely happy with these, I’ll be phasing out my old screw to tighten metal ones with these exact ones in varying sizes. The plastic seems plenty strong enough, makes them lighter and easier to use, less likely to do damage if dropped and you can use these one handed unlike my old ones. ... show more

  • The extra inch is a perfect size
Size: 37" Pack of 1 Style: Large
I’m very happy because the clamp fits perfectly into the area I am working. The smaller and larger sizes don’t work. Additionally the extra inch helps in several projects that the outer clamp pressure is perfect.

  • Heavy Duty Clamp
Size: 37" Pack of 1 Style: Large
This is a pretty fancy clamp compared to the pipe clamps I've been using for the past 30 years. I love it! It's an extremely well made versatile design, which can also be used as a spreader. I'll be adding more of these to my workshop, as they are far superior to the pipe clamps. It's also a plus that this company donates 3% of the proceeds to Veteran and First Responder causes. I highly recommend these clamps. ... show more

  • More Than Enough for Home Use
Size: 13" Pack of 2 Style: Large
I have a few similar (but lighter-duty) clamps from the Keter brand that work well, but when I needed more for larger projects, these heavy-duty clamps from Spec Ups looked like a good step up (and they are). These have come in incredibly handy for woodworking projects in my garage. Operation is as intuitive as most clamps, and the beefy construction makes them feel professional-grade in a way that my very capable Keter clamps do not. The removable rubber covers are a nice feature, as is the ability to reverse the clamps for use as spreaders. Because I am a cynical person, I was ready to make fun of the "Spec Ops" branding until I read the company story. And after using the product, I have to admit they're doubly deserving of the name. ... show more

  • The Big Squeeze.
Size: 13" Pack of 2 Style: Medium
"Spread them." Spec Ops's 13" Trigger Clamps for Woodworking are "good enough" clamps for most clamping needs. They arms are mostly plastic and the removable pads are soft plastic, but I would've liked it more if the pads were made of rubber or maybe it was covered with rubber. Keep in mind is are medium to light duty clamps given their tensile strength. For my light duty needs, they'are perfectly fine. The clamps can also be adjusted to turn them into spreaders. There is a removable belt clip on the clamps, should you want to hang them off your belt. ... show more

  • Quality Built and Quick/Easy to Use
Size: 13" Pack of 2 Style: Large
Must say these look and feel like high end clamps and a cinch to use and set quickly. Below I summarize a few key characteristics I value in trigger clamps like these. Clamping Force and Versatility: The clamping force seems quite strong, quickly adjustable to width and then fine tuned quickly and easily with a squeeze or two. Plenty of clamp force for my usage as well, absolutely no issues or concerns there. It can also be used as a spreader too! This provides a wider set of use cases for these clamps making them an even better value. Ease of Use: Super quick and efficient for clamping. Very easy to slide the clamp into position and apply the necessary force with a single hand, which is very convenience when working in tight spaces or when an extra hand is needed to hold the workpiece. Throat Depth: This has decent throat depth so it allows you to clamp further in from the edge of a workpiece, providing greater versatility for different project sizes for clamps of this size. No complaints here. Durability and Build Quality: The materials here look and feel high-quality and durable material like steel or reinforced plastic and feature robust mechanisms that withstand repeated use Pad Protection: The pads did not mar any of the pieces I clamped in anyway and very securely gripped the workpiece without leaving marks or indentations. Add to this a lifetime warranty and it should alleviate any concerns for purchasing these at approximately $48 price point ( at time of this review ). Sure you can find some that are a bit cheaper but these will likely be more durable and offer more functions (such as spreader option) than most. Perhaps the only negative for me is the clearly military styling, not something I am a fan of but others may so not taking points off for that, just seems a bit over the top for a tool like this though not a deal breaker or anything. Overall love these clamps and very happy to have the opportunity to add them to my tool set. ... show more

Let me keep it real simple – the Spec Ops Trigger Clamp is one heavy-duty tool. If you're into woodworking, this thing is a game-changer. Quality-wise, it's top-notch. You can feel the sturdiness as soon as you pick it up. And when it comes to getting the job done, it doesn't disappoint. Honestly, I don't have much else to say because it's just that straightforward – it's a quality clamp that does what it's supposed to do.
