Filter was the correct size. The markings on the filter were different than the original cabin filter. Subaru marks the side of the filter with "UP" and an arrow, so you know which way to place the filter. This filter is marked with "AIR FLOW" and an arrow so you need to know which way the air flow goes through the filter chamber. It took a couple youtube videos for my specific year/make/model to figure that out but once I did the installation was easy. A very sturdy filter, in fact, almost too sturdy as the original filter is quite flexible to help fit it up into the chamber, but this went in okay. I ordered this charcoal filter because of the recent air quality alert days from Canadian wildfires. I think this will provide much better air quality and I plan to order it again for my next change. ... show more

There is not much I will touch on a vehicle these days. But I refuse to pay someone a small fortune to change the passenger compartment air filter. I buy one for each of our cars every year. When removing your old filter, look at the filter and note which side has all of the bugs, dirt, hair, sand and debris on it. That is the side where the outside air is coming from. The flow of air goes from the dirty side, through the filter, toward the clean side of the filter. The filter I received has an arrow indicating "Flow of Air". The filter should be installed with the arrow pointing in the direction *with* the flow of air. In my case, I have a 2018 Prius Prime, the OEM filter had an arrow on it indicating "this side up". It does not say "air flow". Nor should it be confused with air flow. The OEM does not create confusion about air flow, they do not make you figure out air flow. All you have to do, or the tech, is install it with the arrow pointing up. The arrow simply indicates how to install it. Take it out of the package, replace it in the tray, "this side up". So, to recap...my oem filter had an arrow pointing UP. I installed this filter with the arrow pointing DOWN! Since this is review 42,144 I don't have any idea if this tip will be useful to anyone. But I will say this, the filter fits perfectly, appears to be well made, and I will buy another one to put on the shelf. I'll probably write a note to myself and put it inside the package so that I will install it correctly, and don't have to think about this air flow thing ever again. Ha! ... show more

I've been ordering the same cabin filter for several years from this seller. Installation takes less than 3 minutes. I have Lexus NX 300h and RX 450h. saving $$ by DIY with this filter. Freshness is excellent. I don't smell any funkiness. Just replace it every 6 months or so.
