Needed to replace a 20 year old brass rain shower head ( 5 gpm) but wanted to avoid the $400-$800 ones from the usual suspects. I also wanted to avoid a plastic ( meaning “cheap”) one. So I tried this one but didn’t have high hopes. I was very pleasantly surprised. First, although not made of brass, it’s not cheap plastics either. It’s a composite that is both sturdy and has some weight to it. Second, the color matched perfectly my dark brass fixture which it replaced. Next, the instructions, always a bugaboo especially for products coming from China, were excellent. It addressed and explained issues I would not have thought of ( like cleaning with an old toothbrush the pipe threads of the water supply pipe) and made installation very easy for five thumbed me. It even included pipe tape for installation. Next, the box contained both an extra screen and a 2.5 gpm replacement for the 1.8 gpm part installed in case you have low water pressure. I didn’t need it . The 1.8 gpm provided a very good rain flow for showering. All in all an excellent product for an obscenely low price compared to brass. ... show more
