    • My psycotic dog seems to like it, & she does seem a "LITTLE" less ...
My psycotic dog seems to like it, & she does seem a "LITTLE" less spastic when she hears small noises, but she does still notice everything & goes nuts over the louder noises. This never puts her to sleep like some people have reported for their dogs' experiences, or keep her calm. It just maybe takes a "little" of the edge off is all. She does seem to like the music tho. There is only music without any dog or cat sounds included like someone said some other calming cd's for pets have. If my dog heard an unfamiliar cat or dog sound on a cd, she'd fly thru the house looking for it! I think the best way to use this cd is in combination with other calming aides if you have a very reactive, scared, or nervous dog. It probably works good for mildly spastic dogs on it's own. ... show more

If I could give this CD more than 5 stars, I would. I teach music lessons from home one afternoon a week, and my dog has been having some issues being upstairs in his crate alone while there are humans downstairs having fun. He has no issues being home alone, but something about being separated while we are in the house is difficult for him. He would eventually quiet down but would bark from upstairs off and on and especially when students would come and go at the front door. Not a huge deal but distracting for me as a teacher and I could tell he was stressed. I bought this CD honestly not expecting much but figuring it couldn't hurt to try. I put the CD on this morning while the two of us were hanging around so he would have a positive association with the music for later in the day, and when it came time to teach my lessons brought him upstairs and left him in his crate with a Kong, like usual, and left the CD playing on a loop. Well... not one single bark for 3.5 hrs! Not a sound! Not even when I let students in and out the front door, which is traditionally a big reactive moment for him. I was floored. I went upstairs when I was done teaching and he was just calmly sitting in his crate. My mind is blown! Perhaps it was a fluke... I guess we will see next week... but the CD was the only change this week and he had yet to make it through a lesson without a barking fit. I'm sure every dog is different, but it is definitely worth a shot if you have a dog who could use some relaxation. This was a night and day difference for my Clyde. ... show more

    • I Think I Was Expecting Too Much, But Is A Good Product.
I purchased this hoping it would calm one of my two dogs down instead of barking constantly when I am working at home. I probably need to try try something like "training by dog." So am not saying it is not a good product. I just did not have the instant result I was hoping for. The music itself is not bad and I still play it when working occasionally. I think instead I need Cesar Milan or something. If I were to massage my dogs, I might pop this in! ... show more

    • This worked for my blind, anxious dog
My dog has had nighttime anxiety since he lost his vision two years ago. I purchased the CDs a couple of months ago and they have been a huge help in calming my dog at night. When I start to play the cd, he gets up from wherever he is laying and walks over to the bedroom and lays down. The cd is his cue that it is time to go to sleep. I play the cd all through the night very softly and he is able to relax and sleep until 5::00 a.m. when he wants to eat breakfast! I recommend trying this beautiful music. It is calming and even relaxes my husband to fall asleep!! It’s definitely something to consider if your dog keeps you up through the night. I also give my dog CBD capsules which work in conjunction with the music. Without the music, though, my dog did not sleep as long as he does with the soft music playing.     • Nice, soothing classical music
Not sure how much this actually soothes my dog, Ginger, but she is terrified of storms, so I purchased this along with a thunder vest which she loves. She still hides in the walk-in closet when there is a thunder storm, but it does seem like the Thunder vest eases her anxiety. She will run to me to have the vest put on when I show it to her. I also keep an old cd player loaded with this music and turn it on for her while she is in the closet. Honestly, it is just a bunch of classical music so if you already have Bach or Beethoven ETC. I imagine it would do the same thing. It is hard to tell how much this actually helps, but the inexpensive price is worth the gamble if it does. If nothing else, just soft relaxing music that may block out some of the sound of thunder. What have ya got to lose? ... show more
