  • Love the airpod-style design, but sound and connection quality are inconsistent
I initially bought these cause I got the Soundpeat SP-Q34 back in 2018, but lost those and wanted to try airpod-style earbuds for general use and exercise. They've only ever been connected to my Samsung Galaxy S8. While I like the airpod style and it fits comfortably for my ears and during exercise, the audio skipping that occurs every few minutes drives me absolutely crazy. Sound quality is more than decent enough for generally listening to music or podcasts, but it really ruins my groove and is incredibly distracting when the audio starts skipping out. I like to listen to progressive trance to get me in the mood while exercising, but breaking the flow with audio skipping in and out for a few seconds at a time before becoming consistent again for another few minutes absolutely grinds my gears. I can't use them for exercise anymore and just listen to podcasts and sometimes do phone/discord calls with them, where an occasional audio skip doesn't break my concentration. Speaking of discord calls, they've worked fine during those, as well as regular phone calls with my parents. People can hear me without issue, so I guess that's just fine. Battery life is odd. The left earbud runs out of juice significantly before the right one does, and the right one usually has around 30% battery life left when the left one runs out. The charging case, while correctly passing a charge to charge up the earbuds when plugged in, doesn't seem to actually hold much of a charge itself, so the earbuds never seem to charge when they're in the case. I'm definitely not getting the promised three recharges as mentioned in the product page. So, overall, I either received a dud, or the product is a hot mess, and I dunno if I care to try getting it replaced to find out if it's one or the other. ... show more

  • Big flaw in ergonomics
Pro: Price, sound quality Con: Bad ergonomics, bad seal This is my first pair of ANC headphones so my point of reference may be off. But I've been using noise isolating headphones for over 20 years. I lately grew tired of having to replace the Comply eartip foams every so often as they lost the ability to seal after a while. A pair of ANC headphones would have been a nice replacement I thought. This headphone has decent sound and does a decent job in reducing low frequencies noise like engine hum. It does nothing in reducing the conversation noise except from the physical blockade. Transit users will still learn what's going on in their fellow passerngers' lives, unfortunately. It remembers the last ANC setting which is nice. But what annoys me is this. When you take the headphones out of the case, you have to turn it around 180 degrees before you can insert it in the ear. I invariably ended up changing the ANC mode (unintentionally) every time. I'm not sure what the designers were thinking. It came with 3 sizes tips. None fits me well. Don't even think about using it outside in a windy condition. Needless to say, I'm back supporting Comply into the foreseeable future. ... show more

  • A Great Set of Earbuds for the Price!
I was looking for a backup set of earbuds with a slim profile for use while lying down. (I like to go to sleep with music) One of my original Airpods Pro (Gen1) buds had failed and I was awaiting the release of the Gen 2 version. After reading multiple reviews, I pulled the trigger on the SoundPEATS Air 3 Pros. I was very pleasantly surprised with their sound, ease of use and battery life. Utilizing the SoundPEATS app I was able to fine-tune the EQ so I was getting just the right balance of sound. The bass response is very good, the mids a bit muddy and the highs, crisp and distinct. The ANC works well, just not as well as the Airpods or the offerings from Sony and other high-end headsets. There is still quite a bit of cancellation and the audio you want to hear comes through loud and clear. Transparency mode also works well - again just not as well as the big boys. Battery life has been outstanding. The touch controls work well for the most part but sometimes need repeat inputs. All in all, I am very pleased with the SoundPEATS Air 3 Pro Hybrid buds and they are fulfilling their role as my backups quite admirably! ... show more

  • Decent Budget Option
The sound quality and noise cancelling was a little better than I expected. By no means was I astounded but the bass was a nice little surprise. The headphones are made of plastic and extremely light. One might assume that lighter would be better but they just feel very cheap and flimsy. I would have liked even just adding weights for a more premium feel. Additionally the microphone was horrible to the point where I couldn't handle a phone call. I have the Bose NC700 as my main pair of headphones and I just wanted tws earbuds to be less clunky than big headphones. These are fine in a pinch, just know what you're getting ... show more

  • Good value
In comparison with the AirPod Pro Gen 2 (APG2), can’t beat the price. Functionality limited to ear buds with reasonable ANC. Features that enable use as a hearing aid are missing such as adjusting the volume on the pass through, balance, and audiogram. Speaking of audiogram (Mimi app), my results with three different ear pods were “Mild Hearing Loss.” The SoundPEATS (SP) audio gram showed greater hearing lose at the high and low end of the audio spectrum vs both APG2 and wired EarPods, indicating the SP may not perform as well in these regions. ... show more
