This lure is a JIG! And will produce fish of all kinds when used as such. It can also be used to cast and work back with a jigging motion. I know from experience, it will catch many types of fish including spotted sea trout, cero and spanish mackerel, lady fish, blue fish, jacks, snapper and even shark. It works best when the treble hook is replaced with a J hook. The treble hook it comes with is less than durable. The fish will eventually wear the color off the bait but for about $2 each they are a great value. Caught several grouper jigging off the coast of Cabo with these lures. Great for pitching into heavy surf. Heavy weight and design lend to long casts. Compact, heavy for size and good quality. Strong hooks and split rings. They cast a mile, are good for fast retrieves, deep jigging and surf fishing. Not for slow retrieves in shallow waters.

Price is good and they work well, but they don't last. Finish comes off fast. Also, the hooks are very weak and I had to replace the hooks after only catching a couple of fish

Awesome lures!! Definitely lure in the fish but the hooks suck! We ended up getting a bunch and then replaced the hooks. We would catch a fish but the hooks would either bend, not stay in the fish or break off. One lure the hook broke off on the first fish. The weight of the lures is great, you can cast very far and the fish are definitely attracted to them. Just buy yourself some different hooks and save yourself the frustration by putting the news ones on as soon as you get them. ... show more
