I purchased two of these sets for my Brother after purchasing a few single poles and reels for myself. My Brother is currently using them in Puerto Rico’s seas and likes the complete setup and convenance of them. He always has them in his car and is always ready to fish when he wants to. Better late than never, this isn’t an item I purchased for myself , I got this for my husband who loves to fish and go on motorcycle rides. First off, he is an avid fisherman, and this is his go to fishing pole, it is so convenient that he can break it down and store it in the bag it comes with, with all of the lures, hooks he might need and the bag fits perfect inside his saddle bag, not only does he use it for his rides, he uses this pole everytime he fishes. He has mentioned to me that the reel is superior., the pole itself is good for traveling on his bike but Ofcourse he would like it to be bigger , overall, due to this purchase and other fishing accessory purchases, I’m hooked on fishing as well .I highly recommend this item. Kit was nice with accesories, and Reel was ok for the price - but after 3 seperate days in use- the tip of the pole cracked in half. Had to cut it off, re-glue everything in place and shorten the top eye. Too much trouble to return everything.
