I ordered these boots in November and have been wearing them all winter. They have worked out extremely well for me, especially with all of the snow. These boots would be ideal for you if you are someone who lives in a location that has snowy winters, and has a need for boots to protect their feet while walking on snow or ice. These boots are extremely warm and do an excellent job of protecting your feet in extremely cold temperatures. They are water resistant and insulated, so they are the perfect winter boots to keep your feet warm and dry. Although the insulation make the boots a little heavier that regular uninsulated boots, they are still extremely manageable. The little bit of extra weight in the boots is worth the extra protection and warmth that your feet will get. They have significant traction on their soles that will prevent you from slipping or losing your balance when walking on ice or snow. Compared to most other boots, the Sorel Caribou boots do a much better job at providing traction on slippery surfaces. The boots are also a neutral color and are therefore very versatile for your wardrobe. Not only are they extremely functional, but the Sorel boots are stylish as well. They would make a great addition to your wardrobe as both an attractive pair of boots and practical winter footwear. The Sorel Company is extremely reliable and trustworthy. This is my second pair of this style I’ve had. The first wore out only when my dog chewed them after 12 years of winter use. These are a bit slimmer in appearance to my old ones but they fit perfectly. I have a wide sized 7.5 foot. There isn’t much for arch support but these are truly for snow use so I do not find arch as important as I normally would. They are also not too tight which will keep my feet warmer. I bought these boots a week ago. NY and the Tri-state area have been hit hard with heavy snow. I bought these boots to replace my North Face Boots that fell apart. I am a size 9 shoe, but I buy my winter boots a 1/2 size larger for layering purposes. Since these boots do not come in 1/2 sizes, I ordered them in a size 10. I have plenty of room in these boots. They are rated to keep your feet warm in -40 degree below zero weather and to date, my feet are nice and toasty. I tend to have cold feet, so the higher the rating in warmth the better. If you do not like to have room in your winter boots, stick with your normal size. They are large boots and a size 10 looks like a 12 (ha, ha, ha), but they are the BEST boots for this weather. They have good traction and grip on icy surfaces. I walked through a deep water puddles and slush holes and my feet did not get wet! It took me 15 mins. to get used to the weight and size, but I LOVE THEM! if you are one who lives in a very snowy/wet environment and need a boot that is warm, sturdy and waterproof....these are the ones for you! ... show more

It’s not very attractive the way the foot is held is really loose. I found with a even thick socks and a supportive insole There’s a lot of space in this boot, it’s pretty clunky, and it feels very heavy HOWEVER! It is insanely warm, and workhouse of a boot so it’s really great for those deep snow days or if you’re doing some thing outside in the winter in New England for a long period of time, keeping them! They are not for casual walking I would say, I went with RYKA for that. ... show more

These are my first pair of Sorel boots, but my husband and mother in law swear by them and have had pairs that have lasted for years! I wear a size 5.5 in regular shoes so I ordered a 5.5 in these boots and they fit fine. With normal ankle socks, they're a bit loose, but with heavier or padded socks, they fit fine. They look a bit large and clunky, but I mean, they're heavy duty snow boots so that doesn't bother me. They come about mid way up my calf and the shoe has plenty of ankle support - there's not too much give when they're laced up. They're incredibly warm, even with plain ankle socks. It was -11 here the other day and even in light ankle socks, my feet were toasty warm. I like that the inside is removable and washable. I've had these for a few months and have worn them a handful of times. They seem to be very good quality with no tears or anything. I normally wear a size 10 in women's and ordered at 9 1/2 in these boots. They fit just right enough for one pair of thick socks. I have not had a chance to test them out in cold weather yet because it is 85 degrees right now. But in trying them on they seem extremely warm and I can tell will definitely do the trick. They are heavy, chunky, thick and wide but they are supposed to be!!! They are winter boots people they will keep her feet warm up to -40 degrees. I have many good pair and bad pair of winter boots and I know these are very good. They are also cute for winter or boots. The tongue on the boot is actually sewn together so no snow or water can seep down into the boot to get your feet wet, very well designed. I have never had nice snow boots and always went the cheaper route. My husband has a pair of Sorels and got me a pair for Christmas for our snow trip.
