pushing the bounds of technology slight noise bleed but still stunning bought two returned one, it was picking up audio from my security cam, the one that i am keeping is better than QuietComfort, better ANC. better algos maybe? super digitized this is the only headphone i would recommmend and I've had a few in my life including ear buds Welcome to the space age or AI, if the Jetsons had a head phone this would be it. only con build quality is delicate but what do you expect for $115 after 10% back i was wrong there is no noise that was the actual audio from the security cam i mistook for noise bleed because my cam's audio has a horrible lag and is bearly intellligible and i thought the volume was off, stupid mistake. by the way another thing i like, the pads are noticeably big in both diameter and thickness, comfortable for the ears but they do remind me of firing range ear muffs on an air craft carrier not just good for pop music its great for piano solo's like beethoven's 5th its just wow this headphone can supposedly calibrate the ambient sound it picks up, a loud bang will not be amplified. this is an AI application that could be further developed in so many ways AI glitz, sometimes you can't tell if its on or not after you put it down, Sony's feverishly updating like everybody else, you think? If they could combine this with Rayban-Meta, get rid of the glasses put the camera right on the headphone or Apple Vision pro, instead of plugging into a battery you could plug into these, it would be like an iphone you wear on your head or neck ... show more

Sony headphones have honestly been a hit or miss for me, but I've always been a fan of their products. The ULT wear are the absolute BEST sony headphones I've tested to date. This one is definitely for the bass lovers. The quality is very good for the price range, nice and light on head and great materials. Battery life is in line with the XM5, expected to get around 30-50hrs( All really depends on usage). The sound out the box with no tweaks is a quite pleasant warm sound signature thats easy on the ears, but these have the sony “Headphones” app for you to tune them to your liking and play around with some preset EQ modes( My personal EQ is on the review pics). The party really begins with the ULT button, so let me explain them individually! ULT off - depending on your EQ, the headphones will sound like that, with no boost to the bass, but still present ULT 1- Adds a nice deep boost to the bass that you can feel while keeping your eq consistent! ULT 2- the headphones just turned into subwoofers!, boosting the bass to where you now are feeling the music!, its incredible! Noise cancelation and aware modes are right up there with the top of the line Xm5. Even with the bass at its peak performance, there is no distortion when either of these modes are on even at high volumes! At $199 retail, they are worth every penny! Don't think twice and purchase them! I wanted to replace my JBLs LIVE 660NC because they were too tight on my head and gave me constant headaches. I researched multiple brands and models and decided this was the best option for my main concern, which was comfort. They are not tight at all on my head and I can wear them for hours on end while at work. The noise-cancelling works wonders, it feels like you are dead. The bass is of course what they are known for and it did not disappoint. I am so glad I found this pair of headphones, they can be paired to multiple devices at once, and the touch controls are so useful. I can work a whole week (mon-fri 9-5) and I only charge them once a week. Definitely worth it! ... show more

    • NOT crushers but awesome headphones.

Compared to crushers: I’ve seen a lot of people ask this in forums and YouTube, these aren’t crushers nowhere close. The bass is good and clean but you don’t get that haptic feedback or vibration unless the song is super bass centric and you have ULT1 or ULT2 enabled. ULT1 enhances the bass frequencies and sounds pretty good but if you want crusher like experience than ULT2 mode. ULT 2 is like crushers on 10% or less. Audio Quality: These sound good not great, I feel like vocals aren’t as clear as they could be even with EQ adjustments, I think Bluetooth 5.2 and DSEE are holding their quality up. I actually find some of the vocals to be piercing or too much it’s like they are reserved but with the Ts and Ss they are pretty sharp feeling to my ears. Definitely reduced the higher frequencies in EQ to help. Comfort: These are NOT Bose ultras or Audeze maxwells, they do go over your ears and fit good, I have a big head and ears and I can say they don’t rub up against the drivers and my ears fit in the cups fine, my ears do though rub on the pads which is kinda uncomfortable but manageable. I listened to these for about an hour and found it does make my ears a little warm but nothing a small break or reset won’t fix. Clamping force is a little tight but I feel like smaller head people will love this; even with the plastic build quality these are far more comfy than the xb900 or xb910s for comparison. ANC: I’d say these are pretty dang close to XM5 maybe even XM4 level, they are great and have no Hiss white floor noise very happy with the ANC especially at a 199 price tag. App: App is great and has a lot of features, can EQ, use DSEE (only when multi-pairing is disabled), and my biggest thing disabling the gross touch pad to interact with volume and track adjustments. ... show more
