We have owned various speakers. Used lots. Listened to even more- softball games, camping, block parties, etc. These Sonys, for the price of a set are an amazing deal. No distortion. Great bass. This speaker is wonderful. I love the bass and how strong it is. It does weight quite a bit, but the build is top quality! That’s why it’s a bit heavy! Although from what others have posted saying bass isn’t as good as other brands, there’s a Sony app where you can raise the bass up to maximum. I’ve done that and it sounds like a Bose Home Theater System. Even without raising the bass and leaving on Mega Bass, sounds awesome too! Overall, I rate it a solid 10/10. I don’t think spending more money on the bigger ones is worth it when this speaker sounds fantastic like JBL and Bose. I’ve had 0 issues with this speaker. I own a LOT of SONY products, including the XBS43,, WBN 900 Headphones and the XB N910 Headphones all of which have excellent sound. This speaker sounds pretty good at loud levels but not at really loud levels. Seems to rattle when the extra bass is on so I am kinda disappointed with that. SONY REALLY missed the boat when all that empty space in the back wasn’t used for a place to store the power cord. Still on the fence as to if I’m going to keep it or not. ... show more

Saw one of these used at a wedding and was impressed with the sound. Found a sale on Amazon and decided to get one. I have used it outside at a pool party and a couple of times and in the house. Easy to connect on bluetooth and just sounds so good. Love this thing

I loved the first one so much I bought a second one. They paired easily together to work as Stereo. The sound and bass are excellent. I purchased these on sale and it was a bargain for sure. I would buy these again if needed and do recommend them.

This speaker ROCKS. !!! I love it and would buy again in a heartbeat. Bass is strong, voices are clear, and this thing gets so loud it's ridiculous. If you are indoors, you can't take this speaker to full volume. It's so loud it shakes your brains out. Supposedly, the JBL 310 is better (if you listen to some of the reviews), but the JBL 310 is also now $150 more. Even when you go outside the sound is powerfully loud and the bass is still strong. In a normal group setting a few people outside, 20-25% volume is way more than loud enough for good listening. The speaker connects very easily via Bluetooth, and I highly recommend to anyone. Only reason I gave 4 stars on portability is because, it is almost 40lbs and the JBL 310 does have wheels. Wouldn't pay another $150 for those wheels, but they're a nice feature. ... show more
