Good lil speaker. Not the best of course but definitely decent for the price. Works great for what I bought it for in my bathroom when I’m in the shower. Will use it for my backpacking/camping trips too cause it is light weight and small. I have had it for a while now and it seems to have a good battery life too.     • Smaller than I expected and not very loud as I expected as well
Compact size. Easy to toss into a daypack and take it on hikes. Sound quality is excellent, but the volume level is low relatively. But the nice thing is the sound is distortion free even at full volume. Haven’t taken it outdoors yet. Tested it in my study room and am pleased with the sound. I have to play it at full volume though. As the sound quality is distortion free, I am OK with it. The other no-name brand speaker I have is very loud, but to be able to listen distortion free I have to play it at low volume. In comparison, the full volume on Sony sounds much better than the low volume no-name brand speaker. So, I am going to keep this and return the no name brand one. Summary: Good for indoors in smaller space, as many others have said, may not be suitable in large open spaces outdoors, like a beach. May be good at quite park, where it will not disturb others who may be enjoying the quietness. ... show more

If you are a person who wants a speaker for the shower, listening to music in bed, or listening to music while doing something at home (which does not require the speaker to be very far away) this is for you, I have also used it outside and if I put it close to me the audio is heard perfect. Do not think that you are going to surprise your friends with a high volume, but with the quality of the sound, the bass and how good it looks. Its materials feel of quality, the battery lasts a long time, very easy to connect to the phone, it charges quickly with a 5v to 2,000mah charger, the strap is very comfortable to carry the speaker. If you want more volume to party and attract attention outside, you have to buy a big speaker, if you listen to music by yourself, it's perfect. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This little thing claps!!! Translation: Its loud. If you’re looking for a little speaker thats holds a charge, is compact, cost efficient, and bangs this is a safe investment. I mean its a SONY but they actually did a good job on this little guy!

The sound from this small speaker is quite impressive and clear. It has surpassed my expectations. The clarity of vocals and amount of bass is surprising. When sitting on a hard surface, the bass actually made the speaker bounce causing an audible rattle. I put a soft coaster under it to stop the bounce and solved the issue. It is not overly loud but I was not expecting it to be an arena-filling sound. Exactly what I wanted for a small portable speaker I can travel with for music in the office. FOLLOW UP: I have been using this now for 2 days. I can say in my usage at maybe 1/3 - 1/2 volume, it has been operating for over 20 hours. I am very pleased with this little speaker. ... show more

    • Excellent sound, Not loud outdoors
Sound quality is impressive and it’s more than loud enough in my living room. Unfortunately, it’s not loud at all in an outdoor open space where I workout with friends. We wanted this to use with a workout out that calls out the exercises and counts down. It was useless unless we were standing next to it. And that was a 5:30 am when it’s especially quiet outdoors. Too bad. Kept it because it really is nice indoors, but I really didn’t need another indoor speaker when I have phones and Amazon Dots and Show’s everywhere around the house. ... show more
