This Sony set is great. I have a Sony jambox at work & this set of headphones bring out all kind of instruments playing you do not normally hear with other headphones. I had one set like this in my library which I listen to CDs on one computer & it clarity & distinction, but no model number. I have used this same model for many years. Just got a new phone which has no jack plug, but I did not think of buying an adapter. Purchased a new wireless headset and I think it is supposed to have cancellation, but the first time using it definitely not the quality I was used to from this headset. I have always loved that they fold up to take less space. They are lightweight and I think for what you pay the sound is good. Now I may have to find an adapter so I can use my old dependable headset (this one) instead of the wireless one! ... show more

I’m by no means an audiophile but you definitely get your money’s worth with these headphones. The sound quality is good, they’re as comfortable as headphones get and they fold easily and smoothly.

    • Not What I Paid For
Sony headphones will always deliver decent sound. However, I purchased these to use while traveling from the US to Kenya and back, so noise cancelling was important to me. When I purchased them, the description advertised noise cancelling as a feature. These have no noise cancelling feature. The model that does has a switch on one side, which this model doesn't have. So that sucked. Further, these are described as over-the-ear design. They are not. They are ON ear design, which means they begin to hurt if you wear them for long enough -- for example, for the length of an in-flight movie. Once the ache starts on the ears, you really can't use them anymore. So, not only was I in pain from the pressure of the headphones ON my ears, but I also couldn't really hear much because the sound of the planes overtook the sounds in the headphones. I do recommend these as a budget level headset for those who just want to listen to music for relatively short periods of time at home without a bunch of outside noise. I do NOT recommend for use over any length of time or for traveling because they don't cancel noise. The only perk regarding travel is that they flatten out and kind of curl up, making them a little more compact for packing. ... show more

They are very light so you can have them on your head a lot of time, you can hear by them very good, also they look great and are easily folding. I'm very happy to have them!
