ive had some terrible experiences with delivery of large furniture and appliances, but im happy to say this was delivered in perfect condition and placed where i asked. Didnt go with the unpack option just delivery to room of choice. The TV itself is excellent, great picture ( when watching hd videos on prime, my cable provider doesn’t seem to deliver quality as high). Sound is great, setup is OK just wish a lot of the features disnt require that you login to google first. Overall happy with this purchase ... show more

Purchased 3 months ago. After weeks of non-stop research I decided to go with the A80L 65”. I’ll keep it simple, it’s the best picture quality I’ve seen out of all the tvs I’ve owned in my life. The way action scenes look, or how accurate colors are in colorful scenes, mind blowing. Trees, mountains, cars, shadows.. all look too real, astonishing. The game mode feature is one of the best, easiest & smoothest ones out there. It has many features that I believe will accommodate majority of gamers. Not really much to that. For tv speakers, it packs quite a little punch. I can tell that it’ll obviously sound better with a Sony Bravia soundbar, as the tv & soundbar sync into 1 system. But any good Dolby Atmos soundbar will/should be fine for most. The only negative thing I have to say is that, it doesn’t get very bright.. Some dark scenes are almost hard to make out, even at max brightness. Besides that no issues at all ... show more

During my second day of watching, the image was suddenly lost. So, I had to return it to Amazon just two days after the arrival. I bought on prime day, with a free delivery unpack service. However, not only the delivery experience is really awful, but the product has two unbearable issue which I am not sure if this is only I had a bad one or all this model has the same problem. First let’s talk about the delivery experience: 1, the delivery guy doesnt wear shoe cover to enter my home, cause lots of dirt on my floor. 2, when they try to install the leg of the tv, they put the tv face down on the tv package which has tons of dirt on it so the screen was covered by dust and dirt after they flip it back. Also when they move the tv they hold it with hand and finger on the screen makes finger print on it and hard to remove. 3, after they put it on the shelf, they main guy ask me to sign so they can leave, I said I have to check if there’s any flaw so I can return it right now to save any trouble, this is written on the explaination on the service page but the guy doesn’t know and keep sayingtheir job is only assemble. Lastly I can’t argue with them because the main guy doesn’t speak English at all and the one who speaks a little English can’t explain both sides. so I just signed it then I’ll Check it by myself. I couldn’t believe Amazon has such a bad delivering into home service, this usually cost 30$ but it’s prime day so it’s free this time, but I’ll never order this service for sure based on this experience Ok so after they left, I started to set up the tv with google account, I’m having another two Sony tvs in my old house so I know all the drill to avoid those ads. Here’s the problem, this tv is extremely laggy on the remote control, whenever I press directions, it always has to wait approximately 0.5-1 sec to response, this seems like the cpu or memory couldn’t handle the workload, but I’m at the setting up stage, it doesn’t make any sense since it’s a 2300$ new version Sony tv. Another thing is the brightness problem, I know it’s my first OLED tv, I know the blackness is great, but I never heard of the brightness should be a problem, since I can’t even watch clear unless I put it on vivid picture mode which it’s too sharp, any other modes are not bright at all even it’s on max brightness. So I’m trying to replace this to see if the one I got is a flaw one or all a80L are laggy and dark. It’s my first time writing a review during my 10+year prime, and I’ll update when I get the replacement ... show more

The TV itself is fantastic. In a light-controlled room, it doesn't even need to operate at full brightness to be bright enough. The speakers were definitely a surprise, they are much better than expected, though a soundbar will still sound significantly better. The TV by default comes with stands in the lowest position. If you need to use the stand raised, it'll require adjusting the screws on the stand. Caution to other buyers: DO NOT USE Amazon's "Deluxe" delivery and unpack services! They will touch the screen and get their fingerprints and oil all over the TV. They also won't be able to install the TV stands correctly. For my TV, the "Deluxe" unpack service folks swapped left/right legs installation, and left the TV upside down in my living room while rushing off to deliver the next TV. ... show more
