This comforter is a versatile weight, impressively so. I like physical heaviness in a blanket, but need it to not overheat me in any season. This really hits the mark for me, it brings the heaviness I like and I could use it comfortably in winter or summer. I use a duvet cover, heavier for winter and lighter for summer. When I handle the comforter without a duvet I can feel some feather ends through the fabric, light, not pokey, but discernible. With a duvet cover I don't feel them at all, not even through my lightest summer cover. If I squeeze I can feel added texture but zero poking. The outer fabric is excellent quality, I didn't check the thread count but it's a very fine, smooth fabric, perfect for a mix of down and feather, and cool to the touch. I didn't notice any significant noise with use, but it's not a thing that bothers me anyway. The manufacturing is impeccable, again it's extremely high quality. Zero cut corners: flawless seams, no loose threads or feathers sneaking out, evenly distributed loft, symmetrical quilting. I would give this comforter as a gift, the detailing is beautiful and the included quilted bag is an elegant touch that makes it feel special. There was no lingering chemical smell when I opened the bag, and it fluffed right up. I shook it out for good measure, then put it in the dryer for a second without heat just for the extra floof. It was a good call, it floofed up quite a bit more than I expected. The sizing is accurate, and it has enough hang for my extra deep mattress. I am extremely pleased with this comforter, top to bottom it hits all the marks for me, and is a better than excellent value for the 10-star quality you get. Pure luxury! ... show more

The husband and I are just loving this down comforter from Songmics Home. We are both hot sleepers but we keep the bedroom very cool so this comforter has been lovely for the winter months. This comforter has a 55-oz filling, which I guess is considered "regular weight", for year-round comfort. Since we are hot sleepers I doubt we will be able to use this year-round, but I'm certainly going to try. Regardless, it is the perfect weight for us. It's airy and fluffy, and it feels weightless sleeping under it. The fabric covering it is microfiber but it is brushed microfiber and very smooth. It almost feels like polished cotton and it has no drag, so the duvet cover doesn't get caught up on it. There are four corner loops plus one on each side, so it has a total of eight loops for tying. I like this a lot because once again, it helps the duvet cover to stay in place. I own a down/feather filled sofa, and I'm always getting poked and then pulling the offending feathers out, so I expected the same with this comforter. So far I am wrong, there have been no feathers trying to escape and the box baffles have tamed them to stay within their squares. This is much better than the channel style because it doesn't allow any migration at all. We are both very pleased with this down comforter, the husband especially since he gets cold easier. He says it's like he has a soft cloud over him helping him to maintain his "boundary layer" of heat. When I ordered this comforter it was selling for $119.99 and I would have said it is worth it at that price, but today I see it is on sale for $59.99 and wow!!, that is a superb value for the quality of this comforter. I am now wondering if I need a backup one... ... show more

Ordered this for out guest queen bed and it fits and looks just right. It's a good weight, not too heavy or light, and has good warmth. I held It up to the light to check out the feather fill and it looked good - we laid it out in a warm room and patted it out to distribute the feathers and fill evenly. The duvet came compressed in a plastic bag but I was pleasantly surprised after leaving it out for a couple of days to see it fluff up nicely, looks like it came right from the store. I did not notice any smell as some have mentioned. The storage bag that came with it is a nice touch and can be used for other things too. This comforter comes pressured packed. Once opened the comforter expands. I layed it on the extra bed for a few days and the comforter became fluffy and virtually wrinkle free. I did not notice any smells at all. The comforter has some loops on each corner so you can tie it to the duvet cover if the duvet cover has ties built-in. It fit perfectly in my Macy's duvet cover and stayed in place. It is plenty warm-almost too warm with the duvet cover. I didn't have any feathers poking out of the comforter at all. ... show more

Very unsatisfied it's not very thick and it's got feathers poking through it all the time, I will never order another one from this company I've had down comforters before and then have problems with the feathers poking through it
