For most quality and comfort gaming headphones, people typically expect to pay upwards of $100 or more to get a decent sound and feel. Same goes for microphones. Gaming setups that focus on streaming or performance gaming typically will have have a mic setup separate from the headphones. So knowing this, headphones with a built in mic are already a step down in quality for both areas. It's even more so the further from the $100 threshold you go. Despite buying these for almost purely looks, I was surprised at the features I got for almost $60. They still hold some cons, so I'll try to organize them below. A lot of features can also be personal preference as well so it can always vary based on how picky the person is. PROS: - Adjusting headband is comfy and doesn't make the top of my head sore after hours (unlike my $300 headphones) and in case of the unexpected video call, you can pop the ears right off of you want just normal pink headphones. - the sound quality isn't mind-blowing, but it's nothing to dismiss either. It's clear and has crisp high and mid tones, but lacks bass ( I think they try to give a false bass with the "vibration" feature which is explained more in cons) - the decorative LEDs on the earmuffs have only a breathing pattern and are only white but are ADORABLE AS HEK, and having an led on my mic was a helpful thing I didn't know I needed. It's on or off depending if your mic is muted or not with the mic mute button on the left earmuff. - Mic quality was very good and was able to pick up my voice and isolate it well even with fans running in the room. I sounded clear and concise according to my teammates. - Had no issues with the cord or tangling or the plug and port so no complaints there. - Buttons and volume dial all worked great CONS: - The "vibration" feature in theory would've been a fantastic way to immerse the player in the gane, but it unfortunately only takes away a bit of the sound quality from what I can tell. I've had better audio experience with it being turned off than on. Especially in noisy FPS and battle royal games. - The fit of the earmuffs over the ear isn't spectacular. Nothing to cause discomfort but can be slightly annoying if it doesn't fit. Maybe I'm just spoiled with my other headphones. In summery, for 60 buck they're not horrible budget cat ear headphones. They have a really decent mic and comfortable headband, ok sound and fit, as well as cute looks. They definitely turn heads and can revert to normal headphones if need be. If you absolutely prioritize sound quality and comfort I don't think I could recommend these (but you'd need to be looking in a much higher price range if that's what you want) and why I only have it 4 starts, but will gladly recommend them to anyone who's contemplating on a super cute fun and kawaii splurge on themselves! ... show more

I have gone through 2 pairs of brookstone cat ears before I bought these. I made the switch because I wanted a USB mic. I currently use razer kitty ears and will compare them all: -Pros: Cute, comparable to Razer quarts Kitty ears in looks (but not feel). Light to wear compared to a lot of other headsets. The cord is super long and will reach very far to whatever you're plugging it into. I used these for ps4. I immediately found that the mic quality on this headset was one of the best qualities of any headset I've ever owned. This is great for streaming / recording, but otherwise you don't need a great mic if you only use it in online voice chat. The lights are cute, and work better than the LEDs in the brookstone headsets I've had. Also you don't need to charge them which is nice. Ears are removable and fit most other headsets. My mom uses them on her turtle beaches now lol! -Cons: Headset is not very comfortable, my ears started to hurt after wearing for a few hours, the leather ear muffs are very hard compared to most other leather muffs. Because of the hard leather cuffs, the noise cancellation is very bad. The sound is nice but I didn't feel much of the "vibration" when explosives went off etc. The rubber cord started to kink and bend a lot after a while (as cords do) but it started to interfere with the connection to the device and eventually didn't work at all. I'm not sure if it's how I stored it, but it was really hard to control the wire twisting. Summary: If you're looking for cute cat ears for gaming that will last and are comfortable and don't mind spending the extra money, I would suggest getting a razer kraken with kitty ears. It's currently what I use and although there are no cute LED's Razer's headset is more comfortable, I can wear them all day compared to both brookstone and somic and the wire does not kink as much because it has a non plastic covering. The mic quality on razer is more like brookstones quality though, so this somic headset has the superior mic by far. These somic cat ears are definitely good if you want to spend less money, want a unique look, and great mic quality. So I think it all comes down to the price you're willing to pay. ... show more

The headphones are very cute and adjust to fit as you slide them on making it secure and comfortable. Not sure why you would want to detach such cute ears but it is possible, and they fit back on without sliding or falling off. The chord is pretty long and the sound quality is good. The mic is easily adjustable and there are settings for both the lights and vibrations. I am pleased with my choice. ... show more

I’ve bought this mic twice just cause it’s cute. But it breaks within about 3 months which is pretty bad for the price. I figured when the first one stopped working I just had a faulty one, but when the second one broke when I didn’t even do anything to cause it to break, it sucks.
