  • Inexpensive and functional item for the curious
What can I say but they work. Refraining from staring at the eclipse for an hour, for the brief minute or so that I looked at it, I didn't feel any eye discomfort or strain and didn't feel like the glasses were dangerous. The way I see it, this item helps satiate curiosity of a live eclipse that only happens so often. So considering it will likely get used only here and there, once in a long while, there was no reason to spend a bundle if it could be avoided. So I had two requirements... (1) that it was cheap and (2) that they work and are safe. These fit the bill just fine. I didn't even need five so I gave four to my neighbor's family so they could as a family of four enjoy them together. It's also a plus that they fold flat like a pair of old 3d movie glasses so I just dropped them in my kitchen utility drawer for whenever the occasion comes along. Good buy, glad I bought. ... show more

  • Excellent especially for the cost
Bought these for the recent Annular Solar Eclipse watching. Comfortable, light fit. Good visual clarity of the eclipse. Solid enough construction that we put them away to save for the next eclipse.

  • Perfect for eclipse viewing!
I quickly ordered this set for the recent solar eclipse. They arrived rapidly. They are NASA approved for the purpose. These little shades are very nice! Upon wearing them, I found I could see NOTHING except the sun! Utterly black! The sun was rendered a pleasant orange with no rays or glare. We were able to watch the sky wolves take a bite from the sun in complete comfort and awe. With a set like this, we were able to share the view with others, which was fun. I did try to use one over the lens of my phone cam, but it was awkward. I got a couple of blurry shots, lol. These fold nice and compact, so we have a pair in the car for future sun gazing. They seem sturdy enough to last a bit with proper handling - they are just light cardstock and the plastic lenses. Very lightweight but not at all flimsy. They worked well under or over regular glasses too. These also can be used to look at sunspots and the transit of Mercury, they are very nice! ... show more

  • Bends easily and a little small but a great view
These will a great pleasure to view the 2023 Annular Eclipse with. I'm holding onto the extras for the total eclipse coming next April. These glasses aren't very tall but I didn't find it to be a big problem since they kept direct sunlight out of the eyes. My other issue with them is that they bent in my pocket when I had them very easily, indicating the cardstock they are made with isn't very strong. But they still worked great for my needs! ... show more

  • Perfect
Stays on your face great. My family all have pretty big heads and no one complained of comfort issues. Eclipse lasted 2+ hours and with all the off and on, they held up wonderfully. Easy to use for children, kept everyone wonderfully safe when staring at the sun for long periods of time. Couldn’t get a good picture with the phone. Would for sure recommend the lens for that if your wanting to share digital photos. Just a blur through these glasses. Great great buy. Saw the whole dang thing. Would recommend to a friend. ... show more

  • Great for the Eclipse
Sorry no pics. The five? or whatever pack, were passed out to various family members (that never got used.. ) we used ours in this house and made special note to catch the eclipse. We were able to see it very well! the paper frames were not painful and fit anyone who put them on just fine. Worked for the purpose ... show more

  • Worked great!
Worked like a charm. I could easily see the eclipse and it was able to let some children see an eclipse for the very first time.
