  • (Was) Great Sunglasses that have been cheapened
Style: Polarized Color: G-15 Silver Mirror
First discovered these in like July of 2020 - since then, i have had at least 3 pair - they last a very long time unless you scratch them up or try really hard to destroy them because it takes a lot to mess them up. Comfortable but other pairs may be more comfortable. They WERE very high-quality thick durable frames and lenses but recently went through a change in materials for the pair. I ordered a new pair of these as i saw a scratch on my old pair, a pair i bought a year and a half ago...this time around, i purchased the exact same frame as last time. I just reordered the pair from my order history from the last time i bought the pair. So they are the same as the old ones - well the product and seller are the same. But there have been some unfortunate changes to the materials that make up this glasses. The old one has super thick high quality and extremely durable, super hard plastic. The new pair I received has obviously gone through a cheapening of materials unfortunately. They still might be okay glasses - they look the same in pretty much every way - but you can clearly see the new pair now has a cheap much softer plastic making up the arms and the outside of the lenses. The old ones are rock solid - these new ones are soft and not very durable looking. They totally cheaped out on the materials since last time i ordered these. The old ones are superior - with all the changes, It feels much cheaper and more run of the mill - what made it special with the old pair is gone - just another cheaply made soft plastic item now - not so sure I'll buy them anymore as they no longer scream quality and just look and feel cheap. Even the lens material is far less quality - the new lenses look too easy to scratch - the old ones had amazing lenses that were so high quality they were difficult to scratch - these new ones not only look easy to scratch, they practically were scratched already as soon as i took them out of the bag. I just decided I could not live with the cheap materials with the new pair - SO SAD - not buying these ever again and I returned my order to amazon. ... show more

  • Great safety glasses
Style: Polarized Color: Aqua Precision Blue Mirror
I bought 2 pair they hug your head nicely, they are a little to dark at times but they work great.

  • Good quality, but not the right style for me
Style: Standard Color: Anti-reflective Clear
I had to send them back. They had mirrored lenses, rather than the clear I wanted, and the style made me look like the profile pics of the crazy people you see on social media sometimes.

  • Slightly painful
Style: Polarized Color: G-15 Silver Mirror
The rubber tip of the ear piece goes straight into my hair and when moved to sit on top of my head or remove them they hold on to the hair. They have a great curve to avoid glasses sitting too close to your face and fogging up the lenses.

  • Accidentally Shot a lens point blank: upgraded rating
Style: Standard Color: Anti-reflective Clear
Bought these in 2013 and recently just went out shooting again in 2016. Left a pair in my nylon gun case. While shooting, a gust of wind blew the case up in front of the gun. Shot a round right into the bag but couldn't find the exit hole. Didn't think about it until a while later. When putting things away I found the glasses had broken but the lens had deflected the .22 bullet almost completely. Just bought another pair and upgraded my original rating. The full frame never bothered me and I think the lenses would easily deflect debris. In fact, now that I think about it, these glasses already save my son in law who was a little too close to a scope on his new 30.06. The impact broke skin but the glasses distributed the force out so it wasn't too bad. Saved his eye anyway and that is the point, right? I purchased two pairs of these to take to the shooting range. They fit snugly and work well with the over-the-ear type hearing protection I have. They are decently comfortable and very sturdy feeling. In fact, part of what I don't love about them is the frame that goes all the way around the lens which probably provides more rigidity and increases safety but bothers me a little since I normally wear frameless lenses. For shooting, these fit against my face so I'm not going to get a hot shell ejected behind the lens and they are clear enough to use in an indoor range. For the price they can't be beat for safety so I'm giving them four stars. Pros - Comfortable More protection than most Good for shooting indoors Sturdy Cons Don't fold up compactly I'm not use to frames around the lens ... show more

  • Once Again, the $12-$50 Sunglass Market Destroys the $200+
Style: Polarized Color: Aqua Precision Blue Mirror
These sunglasses actually block the sun, unlike designer sunglasses. Furthermore, they wrap around your eyes to protect from wind blowing dust and debris into your eyeballs, so they're what you want if you actually work/play in the great outdoors. After spending $200+ per pair on Smith, Oakley and Spy, it was painfully obvious in direct sunlight that reflective/refractive light beams were coming in at the top of the lens near the frame with all three of these companies. Perhaps the frames were creating a reflective surface right above and behind the lens? I dunno. They preach a lot about Anti-Glare, but who cares about surface glare when light beams are pinging through your lens into your eyeballs? For a real life comparison, it's like those rays of light and circles of light you often see in amateur photography. Yeah. Anyways, THESE 'CHEAP' SUNGLASSES DON'T DO THAT! I just had them on in direct sunlight - no light beams coming through the top of lens like with the Smith, Spy and Oakley models I tried. Another problem with the expensive sunglasses is the 'Parallel Technology' of the polarization, and I could literally see horizontal lines in a number of the expensive lenses. Marketing is such a sad thing. I'm also happy with these: MSA Safety Works 10105404 Safety Glasses Espresso Glare Gone Polarized It's up to you to research what sunglasses will fit you. People talk about sunglasses being too small, because they didn't look into the temple/bridge/lens measurements and base curves. I prefer a temple of 130 mm, so these are a little tight but still worth keeping as they'll flex over time. If you haven't already, go ahead and take two minutes to research 'Luxottica'. Happy Gearing Up! =D ... show more
