We have an area in our driveway where it's always a bit too dark, and of course that's where my husband parks his truck. We've tried other solar lights for that area, since it does get full sun for the entire day, but haven't had much luck with them remaining lit by the time he leaves for work. At one point, we just gave up on solar lights and resigned ourselves to him using a flashlight to ensure he didn't trip over anything. I did not fully change these lights because the day got away from me, so imagine my surprise to find them still lit in the early morning hours when my husband was leaving for work. We put these out at around 6 PM, and at 4:50 AM when he left for work, they were still on. Not only were they still on, but they were still bright enough for my husband to easily see where he was going, and then promptly turned off once the sun rose. These solar lights were easy to assemble, I appreciate that the button to turn them on is housed inside the fixture, and really like their sleek look. They're decorative, but not fussy looking, so they don't compete with decorative plants. The plastic housing around the lights feels very sturdy, and the stakes drove through some ground that was harder than I anticipated without issue. They've been up since we received them and have endured a big storm with no ill effect, and are still working perfectly. I'm excited to see how they perform in the winter, since there's less daylight hours for them to charge, but seeing how quickly they've charged, I'm very hopeful that we'll still have light when we leave for work in the mornings now. I will update my review should I notice a significant change in performance or quality, but I don't expect I'll need to. For a pack of 8, this was an excellent value, and as I use my Vine account to help me test things that I'll want to re-order, I can confidently say that I will absolutely be ordering another set of these for the other side of our driveway once we complete some landscaping projects. ... show more

We're using these to delineate our driveway. They're very elegant looking and the illumination level is perfect. We purchased a second set to finish our circular driveway. These lights are very study plastic and provide a taller placement of light, which produces wider area coverage. They produce an interesting pattern of light. Pros and cons: Pros: - Put out a nice, warm light - Look more expensive than they are - Easy to assemble - Didn't take long to charge - Inexpensive way to quickly update to your home/garden (this alone earned this product 2 stars for me) Cons: - Completely made out of plastic - Housing, "window", tube-shaped light encasement and post - Bright enough to illuminate the path, but not as bright as I was hoping they'd be - Feel quite flimsy once assembled (but I get it...these lights are very inexpensive) I've yet to use these during/after it's rained. If the housing allows water to get inside, I will update my review. RATING: 4 stars - I gave them a half a star for each of the first 4 pros and 2 stars for the last pro b/c I needed a quick, easy and inexpensive way to illuminate a dark path leading to my back door, and these were the perfect solution. The cons on my list are to be expected for solar powered path lights in this price range, so I did not remove any stars because of them. They are decent pathway lights. I ordered a 4 pack, but was only able to use 3 of the 4. Every single one of them came with the protective cover lose and rattle around. Giving the packages being tossed around in delivery and whatnot, I'm surprised only 1 was broke. The conductor or whatever it called is broke off on the top from not being secured properly and I'm sure maybe some sodar might fix it, but I'm unable to test that since i do not have a repair gun. ... show more
