The SOLPEX Solar Lights Outdoor Pathway came in an 8 Pack, these lights is squarish and looks quite elegant. To charge these lights, you must twist off the top and locate the On/Off switch on the underside, you will need to turn it to the On position before letting them bathe in the sun. I live in the desert by the West Coast and got strong direct sun, hence charging them just took a few hours. They turn on when it's dusk and will also turn off when there's bright light nearby. They provide a nice amber color lighting, the brightness matched my other garden solar pathway lights so they actually looked blended in with the rest.     • Nice entry level and self contained landscaping lights

These are plastic which is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. They're all independent from each other, so you can place anywhere you want. Simply attach the base post, pull the bottom plug and re-insert inverted (pointing side down of course) and drive into the ground. As stated, they're completely plastic so you have to be careful pushing them into the ground to not break anything, but normal to soft dirt is fine. If you haven't seen rain in many days and the ground is hard you'll most likely have problems and might break the unit pushing it in. To set them up, you twist the top half off counter-clockwise to remove. There's a small toggle switch to turn them "on" and then twist back on the base, super easy. Solar panel on top, and a light sensor so they'll automatically turn on when it gets dark. It does need to be fairly dark before they'll activate, like well past sunset. I have timed them for how long they'll run, or whether they run out of power before sunrise, but they all turn on as expected and have run for at least 3 hours before I turn in for the night. Worth the price for this 8 pack as metal units will cost significantly more. ... show more

These outdoor solar pathway lights arrived neatly packaged, with each light individually wrapped to prevent them from getting scratched or damaged. They assemble in seconds, with the spike to stick them in the ground hidden inside the neck of the light - a clever way to keep everything together and avoid having a huge spike sticking out. The top of each light much be lifted off (with a slight twist) to turn a switch on before they'll start working. I installed these mid-day, and they had more than enough charge to last through the night. They're attractive looking lights, and seem like a good value for the cost. Since I've only had these for a few days I can't speak to how long they'll last, but so far I'm very happy with them and highly recommend them. ... show more

My dear husband is a Solar Light Enthusiast, we have quite a few in our yards. Some only last a season, quickly discoloring and winking out. Out they go, with a certain amount of wasted money. These Solpex lights in an eight pack are quality made and really deliver a large amount of light. They would be just right for a walkway or path, and being waterproof, could handle the sprinklers coming on. They came well packaged and each light was complete and worked immediately. Overall not a bad product but I have doubts about the long term durability. Pros: Easy set up Decent lighting power Sharp stake pushes easily into ground Cons: Plastic feels very cheap and probably will not last long term Even though the lights work well enough, looks rather cheap as well especially up close Overall works fine but I am doubtful how long they will last given the plastic quality Update: I have given the product an extra star as the seller company reached out and demonstrated they have very good customer service. My concerns about the plastic are just my impressions at this point. I live in Georgia and the sun here tends to wreck havoc on outdoor stuff esp plastics, so I will see how well they last and return to update my review again after more time has passed and the quality has been tested by enduring the outdoors here. ... show more

I have been cleaning up my backyard by removing unwanted vegetation and wanted some lights near the ground. I previously had some pathway lights that were also solar but totally pitiful by not really illuminating anything. They also did not last so I started looking for something better. These waterproof SOLPEX solar outdoor lights are absolutely the perfect height and the perfect glow for the side of our driveway. We chose to use the four short stakes, that are about 12” high, so they would sit quietly and unobtrusively along the driveway during the day, and pop a little light at night. Really great. Not too bright, and they sit well under our shrubs nicely. Remember to follow the directions and take the top protective tape off, and click the switch on.
