As a solar lighting hater these accurately agree with the sellers description. They’re not intended to light up an area, only highlight a path or garden feature. Believe the lumen output is 90 per light, so don’t expect a whole lot. They’re super simple to assemble and place in the feature you’re wanting highlighted. The on/off switch is located underneath and is protected from water intrusion with a rubber boot. If you have a curious dog they’ll tear one of these up in a heartbeat. They’re not intended to handled rough, they’re delicate and can be broken easily if/when dropped. My only complaint lies with shorting one of the ground stakes which isn’t a big deal but how hard is it to count to forty. Makes me wonder what else have they skimped? What a wonderful set of solar pathway lights - the perfect way to add some light to a dark path or walkway. The ten lights come wrapped in bubblewrap inside a box - and nothing was damaged. There is a separate bag that includes twenty base pieces - two different ones are needed to create the base, as well as a nice set of instructions. There is an on/off switch on the bottom of each disk, and the lights are nice and bright. You slide one of the two bottom pieces into the other and put the four corners in the four holes on the base of the light. Turn on the light, then push the light into the ground. Super simple, but the effect is really awesome. A couple of things to note - these are really small - less than three inches across. There are other versions out there that are about half again as large - so be aware of this. Also, the base pieces are plastic, so if the ground is super hard, make sure to prepare it first. We used a large screwdriver to work a hole in the ground before placing the lights in. This worked well and none of the bases got damaged. ... show more

These come with stakes that you have to assemble (not difficult, just two pieces of plastic that fit into the bottom of the light. They drive into the ground OK - it would probably help to wet the soil first to make it easier to drive in. So far, all 10 of my lights are still working great - one of the grey bezels did come loose, but it popped right back on. They truly are low clearance - I can mow over them no problem. These little lights are easy to assemble and they put out a decent amount of light that lasts from dusk till dawn. I’ve placed them in strategic places within our gardens, on the sides of walking paths, and even to accent a small tree with lighting. It’s been fun moving them around to the right spot. My hope is that they last long, but I have concerns that the solar panels will fry like other lights I have, and I’m thinking the plastic spikes might not hold out. I would definitely bring these in during the winter to try to make them last as long as possible. ... show more

these are actually smaller than expected but do provide a pretty good amount of light. it is individually solar powered and each pod has an on/off switch on the bottom. the stakes are made of average rigidity and strength hard plastic. I have not been able to test the waterproof claims but it looks more resistant than proof. I use these on gravel so that rain water can travel past easily and I won’t have to worry about whether these are indeed waterproof or not. For the price, this is a pretty good purchase. This set of lights is extremely cost effective given the cost per individual light. I can't rate longevity yet, but I have this style of lights from a couple of brands. These are what you would expect from the genre. The brushed metal on these definitely has a texture as you can see the swirl marks. The plastic stakes are, as is common with this style, pretty long. I'm always tempted to glue them into the mounting holes to make them more stable. You can embed the light in the ground without the stake. Simply dig a circle using a template or auger. You want to seat them a little lower so that lawnmowers won't catch them. ... show more

This is not what I expected. They're flimsy discs that light up. They're more like pathway light ups than actual traditional lamps. I was expecting them to be a bit more robust in their lumen output but it just barely shows at night to light up the pathway. I don't think I'll be using it much
