The media could not be loaded. The first thing I noticed is that when I opened the can, the food smells real. It smelled of real chicken and not artificial smelling. I have three kitties so they each got a can. Our youngest kitty Sherbert got his first, and he had major heckin chimps as he devoured his dinner. I gave the next can to my senior girl Chai, and she was as equally thrilled with the food. She barely stopped eating, even when I added her arthritis supplements to it. She liked her chops and just kept eating. Atlas took a minute to decide if he wanted to try his can or not. He sniffed and walked away at first, but then when he saw that Chai was enjoying hers, he took a couple bites then decided to chow down as well. He was licking his chops between each bite. All in all, I would definitely buy again. All three kitties really seemed to enjoy it, and I was happy with the content and quality of the ingredients. ... show more

My review is mostly for the shipping and how the food arrives. You can see from the photos that many cans arrive dented, which means you can’t feed them to your cat. This happens with I would estimate 80% of my orders. Once I fed a very lightly dented can to my cat thinking it would be ok since the dent was on the bottom and the seal would be fine. NOPE! She was horribly sick the next day. After lots of money and many tests, our veterinarian said it was basically food poisoning from bacteria getting into the dented can. Any dented can should always be thrown out because the dent compromises the seal. Most recently, in a pack of 12 cans I had to throw out 8. I have canceled our subscription and gotten a refund on that order. The food is good. My cat loves it (it is not a gravy and we have to add water to it). Now ordering from Petco. ... show more

My cat is not very fussy but he is not enjoying this food at all. There is no gravy and the chunks must be very dry because he leaves them. I do add some water to this to make gravy but he is not fooled. I won't buy it again.

2 cats liked it, 2 didn't...what else is new? lol I'm more concerned about ingredients, and was happy with the Solid Gold label. This makes a nice addition to the brands I'll feed my furbabies.

    • My cats like it, but don’t love it.
My cats are a bit picky with their wet food, they definitely like the “junk food” wet food the most. They’ll gobble it down. When I feed them healthier/cleaner brands, they’ll eat it slower and pick at it throughout the day. This brand had them in the middle, they are slower but are most of it in one go. So I think they like it! It creamier than normal pate, which is gross to me but probably great to them. It also has a very strong cat-food smell, but it’s not a gross smell like some other brands.
