  • Shockingly well built
I was expecting just a normal plastic pc fan, but it's actually a tank of a cast metal casing. The cord is a bit stiff though, and if you're using the fan on a slippery hard surface the cord might cause the fan to drag around. This might be able to be fixed with some rubber feet on the bottom of the fan. Other than that, it sucks really well, no complaints about functionality. ... show more

  • Works great
I use it with my wood burner tool and it’s great to suck away the fumes.

  • Powerful For Its Size
Stands by itself on a level surface, on/off switch is inline with the power cable, does an effective job clearing soldering smoke from a small workspace. One small ding is that the placement of the terminals on the fan for the power cable isn't perfect for every workspace but they have to put them somewhere so maybe there is no ideal solution for that. Great fan, would recommend. ... show more

  • Be weary of the connector!
The pins protruding from the fan are very flimsy, I would suggest you tie wrap the cord to make sure that any movement happens away from the connector (See Pics). The fan is loud which is to be expected at the high speed it operates, and should not be a factor, this fan has one job and it does it very well, it can suck away the smoke as far as 8 inches away (maybe 10 inches at the most) from your solder jobs and more importantly, far enough away that you do not inhale any of the harmful fumes. With the exception of the pins, this fan is built like a tank, I'm not saying it can withstand a drop from your average work bench or desk, but it definitely feels sturdy and well made. ... show more

  • it works
It is much smaller than I thought, but it has worked very well to reduce or eliminate fumes.

  • Nice Fan
Okay, it is a nice fan. As far as "Sucking Power" it is lacking. I printed a nice mount with my 3D printer and that raised it up nicely. But, in use I have to have the fan 1 to 2 inches from the soldering action to hope that it will "suck" the fumes. Any further and you can watch the fumes go wherever. It is a good idea, and with the size of this fan, a 120mm fan I thought it would draw/suck more, but working within it's limitations it does work. ... show more

  • I was tired of smelling fumes and having headaches
Great maneuverability to suction solder fumes away from you. It appears to be made of quality grade materials that i hope will last. At the time of this review, I have used it less than a week and I like it.

  • Affordable
For the money it's a pretty good buy. I'm no authority but just for somebody starting out it does an okay job.
